Good question - I don’t know but the two young ruck men would surely have to be injured and not rested.

King is out for a month no mention of Filipovic.

Only 12 Melbourne listed players again, that's a pretty weak side.

We usually don't play that well with so few Melbourne players.

The midfield is a worry.

I predict that the Dees will win by 5 points.

Geelong have 12 listed players as well so it's gonna be a tight game.

Yes only 12 listed in Casey team. Lots of outs and mysterious again

What is mysterious about it?  Both Maynard and King are injured, which the club have reported on.  Filipovic is possibly dropped while the other two aren't on our list.

I don't know what is mysterious about that.

So who is missing

44-22-1 (wagner) - 7 injuries = 14

Viney Petracca Kent vberg mckenna king Maynard are all injured

Wagner as emergency

14 should be available. Filipivic dropped and ... why only 12??

Balic must also be unavailable or injured. Not on injured list. Not rested or an emergency.

He is the weekly Casey mystery. Any clues??

Pedo and a Casey boy to do Ruck/FWD rotations

Will Keilty do some ruck work as I don't think he has a spot down back?

I don't think Filipovic would be dropped, he must be injured.

I read somewhere Balic had hamstring tightness.

Casey Demons v Geelong VFL previewed on the VFL website:

CASEY DEMONS vs GEELONG – Saturday 7pm @ Casey Fields

[LIVE on Casey Radio]

LAST ENCOUNTER

2017 Rd 3 @ GMHBA Stadium: Geelong 14.8 (92) d Casey Demons 8.8 (56)

FORM COMING IN

Geelong has scored wins against Werribee and then Footscray in Round 3, with only a two-point defeat to Sandringham in between. Casey defeated Coburg and Werribee before running headlong into Richmond in a 35-point loss last week.

KEY QUESTIONS

Do the Demons have the depth to match Geelong? Casey fielded a host of inexperienced VFL players last week partly due to form and injury issues among Melbourne’s AFL team. The likes of Jaxon Briggs, Will Collis, Mitch Lewis, Jay Lockhart and Ryan Morrison may need to step up once again.

Do the Cats have the defensive options to stop Casey’s attack? Geelong’s team defence is renowned at AFL level for shutting down high-powered opposition forward lines and the VFL defenders will need to work to together to stop dangerous Demons like Cam Pedersen (five goals last week), Angus Scott and Mitch Hannan (one each).

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
