Sydney should demolish Adelaide tonight. Will Jenkins be forced to leave their goal square to try and get a kick? Who knows.

The thing that annoys me the most about this round is that by the end of it West Coast will be 4 - 1. Bolton seems to get a free pass though, maybe because no one expected GWS’ rejects to be any good anyway.

I’m hoping Port beat Geelong but I have my doubts because Geelong are in the top 8.

I’m really looking forward to Norths game this week. Said no one ever.

Sydney should win easily. The Couches, Sloane and Betts missing is a blow. Wonder if supermoron Walker will play like he  a tird on his liver.

A Waffle shop opened up just down the road from my house, to be honest I’m hanging out to try their Smore waffle.

I’ve just done a last minute Captainisation of Luke Parker in my Fantsay team over Tom Mitchell.

looking for Parker to have it on a string and snag 3 goals.

Swans by a shed load.

Nice. I like savoury waffles, with good bacon, whipped butter and smoked maple syrup.

Adelaide just did a Melbourne. Absolutely dominated, 5 behinds. Sydney, 1 inside 50, 1 goal.

Basil Zempilas  -  "Luke Parker, just the 6 goals this season"

Yeah, 6 goals in 4 games from a midfielder.

Some of these play on calls are just ludicrous

And on the other side of the argument, how can Frankenstein be allowed to play on whilst the umpire is setting the mark not allowing the man on the mark to stop him?

It has just dawned on me but a Zemplas and Taylor commentary team is inhuman.

A stack of man on man happening in this match.  Can't man up all the time and you are going to lose your opponent at times in the chaos but the MFC needs to bring this manic pressure when the heat is on or there's a run on.

Especially critical when playing teams like the Hawks who rely so much on their accurate kicking.  Give them enough room like we did on Sunday (and many times previously) and they will cut you up and make you look silly.

Great high pressure contest

Good to watch - pity about the commentary team

You can delete my posts all you like but there’s something fishy going on when half of Adelaide’s team is out, they’re playing away and they’re trying six times as hard as last round and winning against the swans at home.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
