I'm planning on buying an Interstate membership for my wife this week as where coming to the Richmond game.

Just wondering which pub do supporters normally go for a pregame beverage?

Did not know that. Seems a long time in today’s modern world.

A lot of banks still take 48 hours to clear funds. This week will be a Membership Bonanza

Agreed.  For some reason our customer service has been a bit lacking this year.  Lots of anecdotes throughout this thread on issues re membership packs: cards, scarves etc.

Add to that DL commentary in the last few days on our website:  lacking training times for the last month/yesterday's work out at Casey, lacking twitter advice of those, lacking advice of today's VFL practice game times - fair contingent of AFL players selected for it,  lack of Twitter feed on said practice game (People were posting from the BH site onto DL).  Not to mention the 'Get your finals tickets' fiasco last year when we didn't make the finals.

I'm with you, if we make communications with the club, using its website etc good experiences they can only help keep the members we have.

We got a call from Clayton Oliver, which prompted an early renewal. All our bling and glitter duly delivered. No complaints.

We have reached the 40,000 mark!!  Must have taken the club a few days to process the weekend membership signings.

As of this evening the tally is:  40,012:)   Almost a month ahead of last year.  We reached 40,083 on May 7, 2017.

If we can pull wins out over the next couple of weeks we should be aiming at 45k.

Shouldn't underestimate the value of Anzac Eve as a home game (every 2nd year) moving forward either, being a member may be the only way to get a decent seat.

Agree if us and the Tig's win I'm expecting 85K minimum. But lets beat the Hawks first.

The only reason it won't get 85k is if the weather is a torrential downpour or MFC members don't turn up. I don't think either will be the case.

Tried to get reserve seats in the mcc this afternoon for the Anzac Eve game after receiving an email this morning. All sold out. They are expecting more than last year which I was told was over 92000. (Not sure this is correct figure) As this is our home game it will be a bonanza for the Club.

There was 85k last year and 88k at ANZAC Day. There was steady rain for both games from memory.

Not just the club processing them ( which does , as anything take time )  it is also that , my understanding, it's not the club posting the info direct. All goes through 3rd party webmaster ( aiui) .

Earlier in this thread I mentioned re joining as an MCC/MFC member,  yet I’m still getting emails from the club asking me to re join.

Apparently when joining as a MCC member your MCC membership has to be verefied and this takes time. So I’m sure there’s a backlog of memberships to be counted. We could well be over 41k by now (even 42k).

Sadly if the attendance isn’t as good as we hope it’ll likely be because of the MFC reserved areas. For whatever reason they never seem to be filled and I always notice it on QB where the southern stand and Ponsford stand bottem level always have empty patches.

I notice the club is offering upgrades, IMO they should’ve made it free and first in best dress. Do what you can to ensure it’s filled from the bottom to the top.

[EDIT]

Didnt want it to be a negative post, so we’ll done to all involved getting us over 40k so much earlier. If we win this weekend the lid could come off on the supporter side and we could get some excellent numbers.

It’s a bonanza in more ways than 1 - we are gaining genuine respect from tha AFL, our goals are their goals, we are gaining genuine respect from other clubs we can work with them for mutual interest.

But most of all we are building a positive innovative culture - some supporters and all sponsors luv that.

Ponsford stand is all Collingwood reserved areas for all their MCG games (home and away). So those empty spaces are due to Collingwood supporters no showing.

ANZAC Eve and QB are massive for us for sponsorship and as a destination club moving forward.

Any player considering returning to Victoria or moving clubs would seriously give consideration to the opportunity to play regularly at the G and in 2 blockbusters a season playing in front of 85-90+k on ANZAC Eve and 65-75k on QB.

Make finals and put together a couple of good finals campaigns and we set ourselves right up

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
