A gun footballer doesn't get dropped in a team that possesses the weakest and least experienced key defensive unit within the AFL sorry.

Gun is another word that is thrown around far too loosely.

Frost is a developing player with some glaringly obvious weaknesses to his game, he is most definitely not a "gun".

I certainly agree with your view that the term “going to be a gun” is grossly overused -  I clearly remember more than one poster (though I can’t remember who) throwing the term “gun” re the likes of Blease, Strauss, Maric,  Morton, even Tynan and Taggert.

Lets hold off such lauding until they actually do something eg Oliver, Viney

The hype begins...

"The same kid with the raking left boot now has a dozen AFL clubs clamouring for his services. West Coast, which has five picks in the top 40 of the NAB AFL Draft, is arguably the keenest."

Mid to late second round is my guess........ mmmm Watts for Fritsch anyone?

Can't see it myself given how desperate we are for outside mids.

Pick 29 would be about right.

Let's hope we nab him early but its looking more and more unlikely

Doesn't look like we're expecting more from this bloke than Watts so lets get him......

Time to reveal to the footy world that he is a drug addict, serial killer, impossible to Coach, cries in interviews, hates training, is disobedient and forgets people's birthdays.

I could handle most of those, but that last one... that's a hanging offence!

Great, now we'll only need to use 47 for him.

Like that former famous Essendon player Bundy Riewoldt-Akermanis?

Haven't heard his name mentioned as a good pick by any of the footy shows, I might have missed it though? I wouldn't think we'd use our first pick on him, maybe 2nd or 3rd depending who else is still available.

Yes too many concussions, one more hit outside a nightclub and he is cactus. Pass it on.

Fritsch is overrated. He lacks a competitive edge.  He is a nice guy.  Good mark and kick but no tackling pressure.  Not physically strong enough.  Pass it on

I hear he has chronic and extreme tinea which has potential to infect a whole team via club showers.  Pass.

"If we draft Bayley Fritsch, all our pets will become communists and our children will transform in horses."

Is it just me, or does he look like Beavis?

or Butthead. Never know which is which.

Heard Fritsch was out drinking last night.  Got arrested outside nightclub at 4am.  Might have been fighting.  Similar to Jack Darling in 2010. How could anyone but MFC take the punt on this reckless young man !!  (Hope HS picks up this news ;)  )

Dual citizen too........

Loyalty issues as well I have heard!

It was rumoured, as well, that other team members are scared to hit the showers with him. That would rule out a pick-up by Adelaide, Port, Collingwood, Hawthorn, GWS, the Doggies, don't you think?

What have I started?

BTW I heard from his barber he has lice.

I actually have resigned myself to him getting selected by another club before we can get him with the pick we want to use.

Would be very happy if he gets to us.

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
