Changes vs St Kilda

Featured Replies

Not even half time yet and we're getting belted. We don't seem to have learnt anything from the pathetic loss to the 17th placed Kangas last week and are yet again being out scored whilst we have the wind advantage. Game is pretty much already over.

As our percentage is poor, we need to win all of our reminding final 3 games to make finals.

Over the past 6-8 weeks our contested ball numbers and tackles have dropped off. Our scoring has dropped right off and we haven't scored 100+ in a match for nearly two months.

Every week is now an elimination final. What can we change to find some form and try to scrape into finals?

Last week was the nail in the coffin.

Physically and mentally drained.

Also outcoached in the last 2 games disgraceful efforts in the coaches box.

Jetta to captain Casey Demons against the Saints next week.

Plapp to coach.

I'm coming over for this game and taking my old man.

I just want to see effort from the whole team. We are carrying so many passengers.

I reckon Melksham will get suspended and that's the only change Goodwin will make.

Stretch in maybe?

Would not be surprised to see Melksham for Hannan and thats it.

In saying that we need to find some run and would not be surprised to see Stretch in as well.

I don't care that he had some moments in the second half Watts should still be dropped.

Maynard out way out of his depth.

He tried all day and looked nowhere near out of his depth - he stays

Watts dropped, Melksham suspended

Hannan and Wiedeman in

18 disposals, 10 contested 6tackles ??????? 1goal.

Stupid comment.

1) Picking on the easiest target

2) You are wrong

why don't you aim up on some of the "experienced" players who bottled it today.

Not really fussed on the changes, to be honest I think I have mentally checked out for the year, I probably did after last week but this game all but confirmed it, I think the players have aswell might aswell play weideman for rest of the year, hogan on ice till next year, and see who is playing for a spot on the list going forward

What did Melksham do? I must have missed it?

Watts is a definite out. That is 3 pitiful games on the trot.

Out: Tyson for anyone who can spread both ways and get within 5 metres of hitting a target.

Out: Watts for anyone who cares to play with any form of effort and application.

Tyson couldn't hit a wall with a footy if he was in a locked room.

Let our best team play on a proper AFL ground again.

Out: Melksham

In: Hannan.

Tempted to drop Watts but a) Pedo was worse. B) Petracca, Harmes, Hunt have been equally disappointing the last few weeks. C) we need our best team in our park and he's in it. Dropping him will be conceding no finals this year and giving youth opportunity.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
