If its true hes getting a 5 year deal at 550k per year thats a bargain despite the contract length.

Turns out to be roughly the same contract he was after at North 4 years @ 750k a year = 3 mil. MFC 5 years @ 550k a year = 2.75 mil, 50k per season less from the impact of covid.

Looks like the strength of the extra 2 years on lower cash has got Big Ben over the line, very shrewd business by the Dees.

Worth noting that Jarrad Waite played the best footy of his career when he was the second tall in the forwardline with Brown (despite being in his mid 30's at that point). It cannot be overstated how much this will help Weideman.

That's probably what he's worth if North didn't play this so badly. They are getting shafted big time. A Coleman medalist in his prime for a second rounder is daylight robbery. Couldn't be happier!

His mobility/agility is better than I remembered. Some of those snaps where he gathered the loose ground balls were impressive.

50/90 is a little optimistic in my opinion. I’ve heard it’s closer to 55%.
