Why get rid of Kent?

Expendable I think are:

Trengove

Hullett

Garland

Kennedy

Frost

JKH

Wagner ( Though I think he's one of the greatest geniuses that's ever lived.)

Bugg

Harmes

Spencer

The problem is that they add not much currency trade-wise.

You would get rid of Kent because each of the guys in bold represent better value to us going forward!

(Not sure why you would keep Kent and jettison Harmes, Bugg, etc)! ?

Kent has value. I would keep him unless a ridiculously one sided trade came tapping on our shoulder.

he has limitations but lightning fast, tough, goal kicking forwards don't grow on trees.

every team has a game plan revolving around players playing their role. Not every team has a Kent who can play a specific and important role.

I'm nominating them in order to come up with some appetizing trade bait...Harmes is a goer but he doesn't deliver often enough - how many really good games has he played? - Bugg is tough but limited, Wagner has great potential and I'd hate to see him go, ditto JKH, but once again, he's had some chances and has yet to nail one.

Harmes just had a game breaking first Q vs Saints...

We need a full back and Lever is our man so we can play T.Mac up forward so he doesn't butcher the ball down back. Our clanger kings in O.Mac and Frost can fight it out for the CHB spot.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
