Spencer seems an obvious choice but understand that Grundy is a very mobile ruckman and will run him hard, he may not have the fitness to go with Grundy and if not we are one down.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come in.

I'm interested to see how Goody handles this one, there are arguments both ways and I don't see it as a certainty.

I trust we will get it right.

True, he might not be good enough to match it Grundy, but of more relevance is, is he a better option than Pedo? Which I'd suggest he is.

I believe it is not about whether Pedo is better than Spencer competing with Grundy. It's about what is better for the side. Spencer is better for the side, as Pedo can play forward and relief ruck, Watts can play permanent forward and T-Mac can play permanent back.

Yep, good arguments but don't expect too much from him if he comes in.

He's had a fair time out and is playing against Grundy who is in line for AA honours at the moment.

I like that it settles the team a bit but wouldn't be surprised to see Pedders and Watts still doing a bit more of a following role with Spencer taking the centre bounces...

Vince's presser still not uploaded that I can see. It can't just be a resources issue.

Why do they think people go to the website? Burgo's think pieces?

Not 100% sure but I thought I read Vince's comments were from a radio interview from a station in Adelaide

Saw a snippet on Fox. Looked very much like a presser.

Id fully expect a few lads to give Spencil a chop out here and there...but not having to take the brunt of the load will benefit our style immensely.

Little Big Mouth, Smart Alec, Adams is still at it: "I would like to see more of it to be honest, like in the NBA. It's almost cocky but it's just confidence," Adams said.   http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/no-harm-in-afl-trash-talk-says-magpie-taylor-adams-20170607-gwmb5n.html

"Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams has not backed down from his Demons barb before their Queen's Birthday clash, saying he would like to see more "honest and raw" commentary from AFL players, mimicking the trash talk often heard in American sports".

Who cares what happens in American sports!

And who cares what an up-himself footballer who has achieved nothing says!

Nonetheless, I hope we have a team strategy for any player to (fairly) bump and crash into him at every opportunity - just to let him know not to go insulting our club!

Gritted teeth, nah. I picture Viney using the photo as a dart board.

It's just noise mate - hopefully it brings a few more folk through the gate four our coffers...

I'll line them up bb:  Vince, Jones, Viney, Lewis, Pederson, Hibberd, Melksham.  A fair bump here and there from each of them won't go astray.

It might be noise as someone suggested but it still irks me that some nobody to dig his heels in and offend our club when he as a footballer and his clubs have done SFA!!

That might be an idea for the dees' banner

Couldn't care less what Adams said, all that matters is we win. Actions speak louder than words. Let's just win the match and let the filth descend further into chaos on route to sacking their coach. Would love to see Eddie turn pink again! Bring back Press Red for Eddie!

Go Dees!

He didn't exactly double down on what he said:

"I certainly wasn't trying to insinuate we're a successful football club, because I haven't played a final yet and as Bernie mentioned, we haven't really done a whole lot, which is more than fair enough."

The horse has already bolted though. He'll have a target on his back come Monday.

Go Dees!

I hope we smash them but they bounce back the following week. Buckley can't coach I love him at the helm of Collingwood. I hope they win just enough games to keep him again and again without making the finals.

The notion we lose when favs is wrong.

...

Won 3, Lost 3 - so the commentary around we lose every time we are favs is rubbish

[Very tongue in cheek] Thank-you very much but you and your fact check can just fact off. There are a lot on here that prefer our alternative facts. We've had to believe in alternative facts to stick by the Dees as long as some of us have!

Getting sick of people on other sites claiming Howe has been reinvented as a backman by the pies when he'd spent a fair chunk of time down back with us. They forget (or don't realise) that part of the reason he wanted to move was because Bucks had promised him he wouldn't play him down back!

So speaking of tools, can someone ask Jeremy "Howe's the move to the pies for more time in the forward line going?"

If Spencer comes in I would look at a couple of different game plans for the ruck/forward play. First up with him rucking the center against Grundy with Pedo up forward. Pedo rucks in the forward fifty with Spencer patrolling a kick out.

Plan B might have Spencer rucking the center bounces with Pedo as a big body at his feet with 2 or 3 running forward in a couple of waves from half back. Spencer immediately the ball is cleared moves forward and Pedo runs with Grundy. Stoppages in forward 50 Spencer takes and Pedo reverts to his forward role. around the ground Pedo rucks. Our stoppage clearances with Pedo rucking have been at least a break even in the past 5 or so games.

I would like to see Spencer in if he is up for it and with Pedo I believe we get a greater flexibility.

Taylor refused to even talk to Melbourne and went to Collingwood and now not only are we better but our future looks much better lol they're a good chance to sack their coach this year and we are a good chance to play finals
