I'm actually looking forward to the Cats/Dogs game tonight.

I think the Cats are pretenders, they need to stand up after all the criticism but not sure they have it in them.

To me they rely too much on Danger & Selwood.

...by the way, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dogs make a late change and bring back Libber if the rain continues.

Hope the dogs destroy them

I'm in the same boat, although all the media attention that has followed the Dogs around since last year has me a little sick of them and happy to see them lose.  However, I can't stand Geelong and would love to see them get rolled on their own dung heap.

I also thought they would bring in Libber but Beveridge has held his nerve.

Very gutsy move by him.  Last year it was Stringer, now Libber.

Just shows no-one at the kennel is an automatic start.

As an aside, they should have rested Libber a few weeks ago after a serious concussion episode when he came off second best from a Mummy tackle.  He would probably be performing to his usual self by now if they had. rather than now having to drop him.

Good first quarter. Lin Jong is such an athlete.

Dangerfield's diving would make EPL players cringe.

seems the incorrect disposal/holding the ball rule is officially dead

Some of the disposals were like boundary throw ins.

What a great 1st quarter. Tackling was brilliant, dnagers 2 goals were good. The dogs just have a way to get out of bad situations. If the Bont could kick straight it would make him the complete player. But really enjoying it.

also the ground looks better two with all the new work done to it. Changed a bit when I was last there at that disastrous game.

Dangerfield having a heap of it.

Only just stripped him of my SC captaincy too.

It's no coincidence that with Dangerfield up and about the Cats are also playing well.  Selwood is also having a decent game, which is further proof that the Cats are a two man team.  No Dangerwood, no Geelong.  If the Dogs can shut them down then they'll still win this game of footy.

Does anyone know what the story is with all the kitty litter on the cats' jumpers tonight?

Dogs should be 4-5 goals up

but they have no Target up forward.

They still should win..

No target and they're paying Tom Boyd 1m a year for SFA- that said he's better than his average tonight so far

Sounds like the commentators are barracking for the cats.

Really bad commentary tbh.

May aswell get cat supporters from the ground to commentate.

Jesse Hogan’s left testacle would be a better pickup for the Doggies than Tom Boyd has been.

I hate Geelong. Hope the dogs can come back and beat them.

I really hope we play Geelong again in 2017.

They are playing well tonight, but nowhere near what they were 2007-11

Danger is at least 40% of the whole team.

Bernie can take care of that!!

Wanting the doggies to do a Rocky here badly. Can't stand the cats and their pug-faced constipated coach.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
