Demonland Podcast will return for the Draft

Another cracking podcast guys. Caught the final ten minutes live last night and listened to the rest this morning while I was on my way to Uni. It is a long podcast, but I never seem to tire of the material at any point. The Demonland faithful are always great to hear in person when they call in as well. I might need to take the initiative myself soon!

Looking forward to the interview next week! Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback. We really would welcome calls and the phone lines are open the entire show. We want to hear from fellow Demonlanders as it's important to get other perspectives. I also like having the chat room and we try to incorporate as many of the things brought up as a way to get audience participation in the show.

I like the structure that we are beginning to form. Discussion about the last weeks game, changes for the next week, discussion of the injury list, discussion of popular topics and issues from the forum during the week and of course a preview of the next game. It is a long show but both Grapeviney and I could talk about this subject all day and night. The beauty about podcast is that you can listen for a bit and come back to it later. If you subscribe via iTunes podcast app you can easily pick up where you left off at any time.

Thanks for listening and please call in. We'd love to hear from you.

Mini-bump.

Just another reminder for those who may have missed it - Mel Hickey will be joining us on tonight's show to talk about the women's competition, her love of footy and life as a Demon.

If you've got a question for Mel, you can ask it here, post it in the podcast chatroom when we go to air, or even ring in to the show and ask it yourself.

Mel will be on-air near the top of the show, so tune in at 8.30pm.

Is this available on any other platforms/apps? For those of us with Android, Stitcher etc? I use Podcast Republic so would be good if I could load them up there

Wow great get guys, question for Max if he hasn't already answered it in other interviews, is the beard coming back and how much does a bad team performance drive him in his rehab?

My wife took her students to a Reach event today in Collingwood, to find the guest speaker was big Max. She said he was very good talking about his early struggles with injury, jimmy providing inspiration and a troubled family life. Big hit with the kids. At lunch my wife ducked around the corner to Proud Mary's only find Max there having a coffee with someone who from my wife's description sounded like Col Garland. Full day at Reach then backing up for a podcast!

Busy day for Big Max!

Will you be taking questions from the chat room? It was disappointing that this didn't happen during the Mel Hickey interview.

We had limited time with Mel as we do with Max.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
