8.40 !!! FMD!! I'm starting to get very ..err "tired" by that time. It will take manly effort to last the distance.

Those odds for the saints are too good to pass up, if we get beat at least I can win some money and if we win I won't care about the bet, win win

That really depends on how much your soul is worth. I'd put an extra $100 to 200 on it so you're at least gaining some level of pleasure on a Melbourne loss. Anything less and it's a bit hollow isn't it?

Don't let Goody hear that you haven't done your pre-season uncle bitters. You need to be watching/having a glass of red with the right levels of intensity...

Had footy training last night and sweated buckets. Humidity has dropped a little today so the players will welcome that. Also, doesn't really cool off until 6:30 or thereabouts so there'll be some exhausted blokes out there tonight.

Most importantly, beer will be cold.

I'm just happy that the boys don't have to back up next week for rd1.

They beat us because:

* They know how to move the ball easily from contested to uncontested situations, and how to prevent us doing it.

* They know how to stifle our attacks through the corridor.

* Their mids know where their forwards are going to run, so they don't bomb it blindly.

If we stop playing into their hands, we'll win.

This is a good summary. As well they know how to hand their balls on without getting caught, a la Footscray, only they don't throw it as such. They just hand it over in tight.....

How many hours until the game starts please?  I have just arrived in Dubai, from NZ via Melbourne, add to that they are playing in West Coast, I cannot work out when the game is.  Thanks

I'm actually pretty pumped about tonight's game.  I know others might think we could be in for a decent loss, but we should have beaten them over in Perth last year and even though we're missing a few we're still taking a pretty strong squad over with us.

Their forward line could cause some havoc if our spread isn't working and we aren't winning enough clearances, but I feel as though we're taking a team over there that will be able to match them in terms of running capacity throughout the game.  I might be looking through the red and blue goggles, but I believe our midfield is a little strong than their's as well.  There is no reason why we can't win this game.

Love the optimism WB !

I can't wait to see Viney smash Mitchell into the turf. Jack don't care if it's preseason.

It's all I've got these days, Dan!  If I can't be positive then I may as well pack up and go home.

Melbourne paying $4.00 to WC $1.26 which is interesting - thought it would be a lot closer than that.

Makes me even happier to pop $10 on and make the game even more interesting. Go Dees!

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
