Did you watch him? He was shocking - today. Doesn't mean he's better / worse than T Mac but that he was really poor. Today.

T Mac is not that far off where Rance is; both make mistakes. I think Rance is incredibly overrated. I'd probably rank him ahead of T Mac, but not by that much.

Damn, you do know that if Adelaide kicked one more goal, we would have slipped back into the top four!!!

hawks loss to power was interesting - their key mob in mitchell, o'meara, smith roughead et al got enough of it, but port were cleaner with the ball and if vickery is their second key forward / ruck they'll soon discover how limited a footballer he is, like richmond before them.

bombers look seriously quick with ball movement and foot speed.

Swans have managed to get through a half of footy without letting St Kilda's tall forwards kick a single goal.

Partiularly interesting as Sydney don't have a large contingent of tall defenders.

I'm sure Goodwin is watching closely and taking notes.

they play the zone defence that we try to play superbly.

their mids are also slaughtering the saints - steven, billings, and dunstan completely cut out of it.

mccartin has been hit from pillar to post; he leads with his head every time.

Well, here you have it. Another big preseason and not one team undefeated. Those last 10 minutes on Thursday night were the difference between first and fifth places.

Hogan should have a day out if Carlisle is playing on him.  Their next best defender is Brown.  If we get the ball up forward then like Buddy tonight it will be easy pickings.

Just have to stop Stevens.  No-one tagging him tonight.

Hickey is the one to worry about, 16 contested possessions as a ruck.  Max will have his work cut out.

swans have taken the foot off the pedal big time?

this is the big issue with the jlt; it's really 'just like training'.

saints do run really hard.

Have you seen who is lining up against the saints. I would say at least 6-7 players who won't be there round 1. Saints playing a full list minus Monty.

Cameron, heyword, fox, foot, melican. Hewett, smith, marsh, florent

We'll lose round 1 by about 35 I reckon.

Saints more consistent, better runners, taller and stronger book-ends and will make us pay.

Swans played an undermanned side however if the saints bring the same pressure as they did in the second half then we are going to struggle.

the is no room for errors at etihad and saints tackle in packs, causing pressure on our disposal and turnovers.

our skills aren't good enough yet to stop these turnovers. Saints however are also not at top level for disposal.

if we can out match their intensity then we are every chance of winning.

Any less then our best won't get us over the line

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
