Thought it might be good to have a thread for random comments on the games we're not involved in...

Last night both teams looked pretty average.

Tonight...can't see Harry staying forward for too long. The Cats defence is very average now that Enright's gone, they're not good enough to have Harry as a luxury forward.

Also, without 3rd man up they don't have a ruck combination that works. Selwood and Danger will be knackered at the end of the season holding this crew up.

And how good is it to see Roughy in full swing?  Colours aside, here's a man that would've gone through hell, like man, many others in less profile positions than him, but his fight and determination has seen him get back to the top of his game.

An inspiration.

It's my difficult task to present you with the JLT ladder as it currently stands showing Collingwood on top.

Collingwood 1 - - 105 94 111.7 4
Hawthorn 1 - - 98 94 104.3 4
Geelong - 1 - 94 98 95.9 0
Essendon - 1 - 94 105 89.5 0

UTas has a campus in Launceston.

Launceston = York Park = Aurora Stadium = UTas Stadium
Hobart = Bellerive Oval = Blundstone Arena

Not saying anything we don't already know but GWS have a lot of great young talent.

As you can only play 22 on any given game, I would think that Stevie J, Griffen and even Delidio would not be guaranteed a game this year.

If they do get the nod ahead of some of the young kids like Taranto then they are hindering the kids development.

Interesting times ahead.

Apart form Tyson we have taken some GWS cast offs...maybe it's time to get into some these kids before they are established.

I spent a couple of weeks traveling around Tasmania over new years, bloody spectacular place.

Nasty hip injury to GC17's Sam Day - sucked on one of those sticks on ground the pain was so bad.

If he dislocated it, from first hand experience I can say it is very painful.

I understand BBO has done the same injury a few times...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
