Surprised? The MFC club website is seriously one of the most useless in the AFL by a long shot. Some of the players pics are still from 2015. Whoever is running that area needs to be sacked.

Hahahaha even in the offseason he's finding people to sack. Find something important to worry about mate.

Personally i dont give two shits whether you speak to players. Stop trying to put yourself in a pedestal because you 'speak to players'. Your nothing but and old human being like majority of normal society. They don't see you as a friend. Your just a typical die hard supporter that they have to put up with from time to time.

And guess what Saty, there are people who actually 'worry' like my step son who went to do a favourite footy player project on Bernie Vince only to realize that it hadn't been updated since pre season 2015.

They have a simple job to do and hasn't been done for nearly 2 years. Poor.

It's actually called presentation. It is all important. Every bit of it if we are to become a force again

kids just laugh if a site has not been updated.

We need a heap of kids to jump on board

You're an expert on the "kids" are you SWYL?

That would not even look at the website mate. Social media is all they care about, and the MFC's is ok.

But sure, email Goody and tell him we can't become a "force" until the website has more recent headshots...

Let me tell you something Stewart

my present job is working for ABC ME channel 3. But the kids don't watch TV. They watch online through the website.

Nearly one million kids are registered on the ABC ME Website. Kids do use websites and social media. Mand we need lots of kids to sign up as members. We have lost generations of them to other clubs. Now if we have information on there that is 2 years out of date, kids will just laugh and go elsewhere.

Now please go away Stewart...

You don't see how those websites are different at all?

SWYL, the MFC website is not something kids look at regularly. The only time they would access it is if they look at a link via social media and I can tell you that it's only a few Demonland wowsers that get in a tiz about there not being updated headshots in the player list.

Do you honestly believe the headshots on the website is what has stopped kids from signing up as members? Come on mate.

BTW WYL - Wouldn't they be watching through an app on a tablet device or a smart TV? Different from a website.

How have you any idea how many kids look up the MFC website? I had no idea a Million kids had subscibed to the ABC Website until i asked the people who keep it running.

Like i said. It's presentation and this club cannot afford to be lazy.

It would take 30 minutes a day to keep it rolling with the odd 2 hour download.

Oh no Bernie's aged two years, please

Back pedalling, no not really, just pointing out how anal some are, the website will be updated in time, thought there were more important things in life and maybe the staff were on holiday having a break from dealing with MFC supporters and their constant whining, and it had at least been partially updated

I am fully aware of the relationship I have with the players, sad that you have to resort to ageism to get a point across, but hey that is the norm for you anyway, I don't have to put myself on a pedestal, although you have an issue with posters who seem to do that in your eyes, maybe it's you

You will be pleased to know this will probably be my last post on this dustbin,  I am over the lack of consistency with the moderators, allowing rubbish to be posted in topics, the anonymous heroes who like nothing better, or who have nothing better to do, than denigrate the club, the coaches, the players, the staff, and bully other posters who have the temerity to disagree with them

Just quietly, that Tim Smith reminds me of Jakovich.

Would be a good foil for Hoges.

By all accounts Tim Smith has a good brain - haven't seen him in action, but OMG one can just dream of Jakovich with a focused mind.  Could be anything if what you say is right.

Look, I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, it should, but I really don't consider it a big deal, and i sure as heck don't think it effects our membership or chances of success.

It all counts. The Website maybe the first impression. All the little things that were not seen to over the last 50 years have contributed to where we have ended up.

Lack of pride.

Of course they do. Primary kids for sure

If they need a break from constant whining supporters then id advise them to look for another job. Every single club in the AFL would have to deal with whining supporters. Some have the right to, some don't. Its the way all sporting organizations are.

Also don't know if you have notice but this is a football forum and last i look we are entitled to voice an opinion on coaches, players, staff etc.. What i will point out is that in the last 3 months no one from here has denigrate the club or players. In fact the optimism on here has been great to read.

And lastly..  Pot... Kettle.. Black...

Apparently Pedo has come back in poor shape and is struggling. Weid is still too skinny. I really like Tim Smith's chances to play early in the year

You do know that pedo had a major shoulder reco in the off season? Might explain him not being in tip top shape

I seem to remember him, recurited as mature age, being listed as 188cm in his first season. I note you are correct Chook, he is listed on the site as 191 now. How did he grow 3cm in his mid 20's??

I'm not too surprised about a change in height. Walking and training tall as a marking forward, compared to squeezing down in and under packs as a prolific mid prior to recruitment, can add a few cms. Takes a little time to stretch the back back out. Would be really surprised if he grew anything more

Edit: typo

    THE CAVALRY ARRIVES by Megg

The injury plague which has beset the Demons 2024 campaign is finally starting to dissipate and with consecutive wins over GWS Giants and a 2-point nail-biter in Adelade, a sense of optimism is rising.  Some commentators are now asking whether the Dees can make finals? A huge surprise with team selection this week when it was announced that champs Olivia Purcell, Paxy Paxman and Eden Zanker would play.   Hallelujah!  The cavalry has arrived. St Kilda missed the finals last season on pe

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.
