Hutchy might actually help bring the show more in line with being, you know, a footy show. He's not much of a joker so he may be more inclined to focus more on football itself.

Guaranteed Sam will be the next one to go. They are slowly shifting towards a more focused show with this lot.

The show is a doodle (I would use another word to describe that part of the male anatomy but will be censored) measuring contest. I thought Bec Maddern would help and I think JB going helps. Hutchy isn't a good replacement and until Sam goes, that show will remain an open sewage outlet that pumps effluvia into the homes of the unsuspecting, ignorant and easily amused.

Not a regular viewer, but in the off chance I watched it brayshaw seemed ok.

Hutchy on the other hand is horrendous.  will be the final nail in the coffin of a dying show.

Gee it's funny when the guys put on a dress though.

Takes me back to those hilarious pie nights of yore.

I still maintain a big hairy bloke in a dress is comedy gold.

Why tinker with the formula.

Can't stand the show personally and have only seen fleeting minutes in the last 10 years but one things for sure...

When Sam goes the show is gone...love him or hate him he is the only personality on the show and the one that draws in the ratings.

Sam is the footy show.

So many of us don't watch the footy show yet so dislike the show.

Then there are the ratings that (despite some recent decline) show that many people are watching.

Something doesn't add up.

No one admits to watching day time soaps either yet .....

Three monkeys on Mars would run the show better than what it has been for the last five years.

Three dead ones at that.

Bringing in hutchy means they can set the show up to more closely model it's more successful structure under Eddie. Armed with more inside info hutchy will be able to provide the odd scoop and ask more pointed questions of guests. Gary and Bradshaw were safe options when Eddie left but added nothing new to the show. Sam has carried the show. Happy for both to be doing something different

I read with confusion the article explaining the backstory of why Brayshaw " didn't really" want the Footy show gig.

On the one hand he wanted more time with his 4 sons.

On the other hand he wanted to do the live calls as well.

He also wants to go home to see mum and Dad

He wants time with the hot new babe .

He wanted half a mill on top of that.

But really its more to do with his estranged family than the cash.

What nine really wanted was another lap dog like Eddy but James seemed to be all about James as he always is.

Also, when James threw Eddy under the bus after Carogate he stamped his papers .

One more [censored] gone.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
