New balance apparel sponsorship renewed?

Apparently the club signed a 3 year extension with New balance back in Dec 2013, which means it must be again either up for renewal or a change very soon ? Couldn't find any recent announcements . Anyone heard anything ?

Just thinking with Xmas presents etc whether to hold off or not ...?(i.e if we were to change sponsors)

New Balance invested a lot in designing the jumpers and shorts with state of the art technology:  "On top of its new deal, New Balance has also redeveloped Melbourne’s guernsey to a lightweight performance with patented New Balance dry moisture wicking technology for players’ jumpers and shorts."

So it is hard to see NB (or any sponsor) jumping off the Demon bandwagon; especially now when we are on the cusp of success and they can reap the rewards of their loyalty and their investment.

Hope they stay, the 70% Discount last year was outstanding, and encouraged me to go back and get other stuff,

Outstanding considering they would've still made a margin on the sale.

But agree, good value.

New Balance sucks, the CEO and board are big Trump supporters

So they know how to back winners.

last time I checked, it was a free country and people were allowed to hold their own views and opinions.  Whether or not I agree with them does not make them or their products 'suck'.  It is perhaps this type of holier-than-thou attitude that led all of those who have been told they suck for holding a belief to rise up and put Trump in the White House?

i have always had excellent experiences with New Balance, and would welcome them back.

Then that is a good sign!  ? It shows that they can 'pick winners'! ?

The Trump connection is unfortunate. It would appear that New Balance's interests in him are entirely commercial rather than a social statement, but would have been better if they'd not blown a gloat-horn while so many people are in fear for basic rights, and so many others are anxious on account of empathy and shared values.

It's a bit distasteful, especially with a company which is supposed to have an all-encompassing market profile.

Wow, wouldn't it be the essence of everything wrong with America if six months from now people are having to choose their shoes based on political affiliation?

4th of November I received an email from the club out lining current discounts for members.

New Balance is harris scarfe brand, bargain basement sportswear. Hoping we get a decent brand to put our gear together eventually. Have bought 4 hats in 5 years and they're all garbage.

Bollocks. Have bought plenty of gear from them and the quality is no different from Nike or Adidas. The Melbourne windbreaker jacket has been one of my favourite purchases of the year. Never thought I'd wear it anywhere but the footy, but I wear it pretty often.

New Balance seem to be alright. They are also responsible for designing the kits of both my football teams. Melbourne and Liverpool. The only problem is both of those brands aren't what they used to be. Hopefully in time, both clubs will either establish the brand as a winner or both clubs upgrade to a winning brand with big commercial deals.

Anyway, good on them for jumping on at a time when we needed them.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
