As a project manager I usually start off my  emails to the team with "Hi Guys" no matter if they're blokes or Sheila's. Do you think either gender gives a [censored]?

Fair dinkum, Adam. It's comments like these that contribute to the pathetic, walking on eggshells bullish it we out up with in society nowadays.

"Hey guys" is a bit different to using the term "ladies" as an insult.

I'm pretty sure Jose is part of Mach. Hannibal was of the Ben Hur and ProDee family isn't he?

Yeah. I'm sure PD is batting off about us talking about his notoriety.

I've still got that warning point reminder from Rhino as well. He banned me too, me! In the words of Jimmy McNulty, "what the [censored] did I do?"

Luckily Nash had my back and the ban lasted 10 minutes, I was starting to panic and look at new options in terms of what to do with my life. Avoided that disaster, thanks Nasher.

Thanks. Now I just want some Jameson.

Amazing stuff, the lengths that people will go.

Have a look at the context it's used in, insinuating weakness and being over emotional.

Why stop there.

"C'mon kids... Settle down..."

Where do our children stand in this type of remark?

Honestly mate, it's plainly sexist, simple as that.

Doesn't mean it's the worst thing to ever happen, but it's the kind of thing that needs to stop.

Contextually, when something is used to denigrate, you'd be very hard pressed to contend that the term isn't an insult.

I guess you want to take the vote away from women and go back to classing Indigenous people as "fauna" too?

Nothing to do with "thin-skinned" and all to do with growing up.

Soo rpfc is still yet to be found?

Makes me does wonder how many former demonland posters have probably passed on that we don't know of?

When I go can someone please create the Clint Bizkit Memorial Board which is dedicated to discussions around structure and putting players in the forward line?

Rubbish, mate. 'Toughen up ladies' is a lot different from colloquially referring to everyone as guys, which I do as well. People with an issue about that don't actually understand gender politics, in the same way that people who think the use of pronouns in every situation is inherently sexist. That stuff is [censored].

What I do have a problem with is the insinuation that being a lady makes you soft. The people in my life who are the least likely to be soft are women.

You've paid way too much attention over the years Nasher! & you have a good memory.

Early on I was a pest because I was a pest, but I matured & learned to behave yet still got banned too often without justification.

That really only served to increase the pest factor in return, because what's the point of behaving if Rhino will ban you anyway just for expressing your opinion that differs from his?

I also enjoy having conceptual & philosophical arguments, which seemed to just get certain backs up. Maybe a bit revisionist on my behalf, but what else would you expect? Cest la vie.

RobbieF brought me here because of his style of posting ... entertaining with a straight forward manner and he knew his footy.  Hope he comes back.

Lordweaver was good value too ... and where's Dappa Dan & jazza?

And we could do with a few more ladies/women ... too many blokes

Nah, yeah ,nah , yeah , yeah.

Could've been worse. I could've told a poster to kill themselves, jump off the West Gate and offer to drive them there.

Oh, the hypocrisy

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
