No i have not said i want him but they discussed this on SEN about not having to throw Watts into the ruck and also giving Hogan up forward a chop out along with Gawn.

Pretty sure he is a free agent?

No, no, no, a thousand times no!

People give crap to Richmond they don't take it.

Tyrone should have stuck to acting in B Grade Westerns! :)

Bit harsh SWYL.  He played a great role in Witness for the Prosecution.  But as for the Toigs Tyrone, no thank you.

Could be a 'project' player that Goodwin works on. Good size, can take a mark and rucks better than Watts, Pedo or Dawes. Much of his inability to perform is between the ears, but is that a confidence issue or simply lack of brains?

I have some mad Richmond supporting mates that want him traded this year otherwise he'll be worth zilch next year.

Does he offer more than Dawes on the field and training track? Would he hinder the development of Weed and Hulett?

The speculative name that just wont go away. Oh, how I wish it would go away.

We already have Spencer, who is better in the ruck by a mile and not far off Vickery as a forward.

Seriously, Vickery only gets mentioned because of the Tiger's hype machine being stuck in a "sunk-costs fallacy".

Could be a handy 2 year signing if he cost us nothing.. I think we have 2 good young forwards at Casey, but they are not quite ready to play AFL yet. Our bigger bodies in Dawes and Pederson are certainly not performing. He could help to cushion the transition for Hullett and Weed and help Gawn to get forward more regularly.

Wouldn't bother with him. We need key defenders or quality midfielders. We already have some key forwards developing, and he's rubbish when he gets sent into the ruck. At 26 years old he's not worth it unless he is super cheap.

I hope that is just a throwaway line. One has kicked 154 goals at AFL level while the other has kicked 6.

He is capable of playing some good football and if he didn't cost too much (financially) I wouldn't be against it.

The first part, yes. The second I'm not so sure of LG. I think Jake is limited beyond ruck duties. Having said that I'd like to see him now get a number of senior games to look at how the two rucks combine.

A thousand times no. I'd rather have Declan Keilty.

Couple of years ago (when we were horrible) I went to a game against Richmond and a bloke in front of me kept giving it to Chris Dawes for being a spud. I reminded him he was no star like Tyrone. That shut him up.

They knew then what we don't need to find out.

He did have the first part correct

certainly far from our first choice fwd/2nd ruck but they dont grow on trees and tend to peak in mid-late 20's.

has averaged almost 2 goals per game over the past 3 years.  He is a  upgrade on Dawes and Pedo, that's for sure.

wouldn't rule him out if we dont have to give up much for him

My Grandmother's favourite actor

her eyes would light up...

The SEN discussion about Watts copping a battering in the ruck was valid. As for Vickery, he ticks all the boxes other than being able to play good football. That's a big sticking point for me.

How long until The Weed and Hughlett are ready? Another 12 months?

Cut the crap and go and get Majak Daw for two years.

Watts plays permanently forward. Dawes to be delisted as seasons end. Daw to rotate with Gawn in the ruck 3rd fwd.

Vickery would be better than Daw

(Marginally though, they are both very orsinary)

If memory serves me correctly I think he battered for the other team!

There are plenty of tall spuds out there at the minute.  If we're going all out mentioning Vickery and Daw, why don't we chase Billy Longer from St. Kilda?  Yeah?  YEAH??

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
