Apparently suffered another concussion on Sunday after a head knock. Serious concerns being raised, albeit not by anyone inside the club as yet.

That's a blow for H and the club. 

Hopefully he can regain full health, and when he does that, needs to learn to not run around like a headless chook when he gets the ball. Watching Casey on Sunday, the amount of times he got the ball and ran straight into a couple of Richmond players was ridiculous. He has regressed, and I'm sure the concussion has not helped at all.

Yeah cos there's been none of that while he's been out....

ABC 2 TV had the same story in their 7 p.m. News tonight, Lumumba has concussion again after head knock in VFL. What is it with so many head hits this year? Brayshaw, Lumumba, have hardly played, I suppose all we can assume is the AFL and the clubs are more attuned to the issue and its repercussions so we now take it more seriously.

Shame we don't play Collingwood late in the year. Would be nice to farewell Dawes and Lumumba in front of someone who would cheer for them.

It's not personal, just the truth. Both premiership heroes and will be remember as such. Both seemingly don't have much more to offer us.

Poor form to suggest no Dees supporters would cheer for two blokes who both have tried their guts out and had their bodies let them down and end their careers.

Fairly sure the Pies supporters were still booing Dawes on QBD.

I'm not ashamed to say that I'd cheer them. Their careers may not have worked out how we hoped, but they still gave their all for the jumper, and I'll cheer that regardless. 

Its a shame you couldn't do the same.

So some Googling tells me that dreadlocks can't help preventing concussions...but I was gonna throw it out that his shaved head is the reason why he's getting them now

Agree and with Heritier I think the club and him should seriously look at his long term health.

Player welfare is of primary concern and He needs to probably retire to ensure no lasting effects!

What if the club and Heritier know he is finished... and this so called 'concussion' is merely an perception management type play... in order for it to appear he finished his career due to injuries rather than poor form.

The answer lies somewhere in more free kicks paid for head high tackles and less free kicks somewhere else but not slowing the game down. Debate away!
