Fast game, but the kicking skills are terrible tonight.

absolutely stupid.  Anyone (but rjay apparently) can see he was hitting it to a team mate but hit it too hard.

He's an AFL footballer not a park player...

Agree with you on this one though 'sue', it's making a mockery of the game.

What was that Ziebell half time intrview? The guys playing a game and hes sitting down at halftime with headphones on talking to Carey and Ling.. could tell he had zero interest in doing it

They're the worst those interviews aren't they! Next thing you know they'll start interviewing players while they're lining up for goal.

Not unexpected that so many disposal errors are occuring. The  game this year with its frenetic focus on attack is like a crap shoot. Our last game had plenty of them for both sides. And for us it's hasn't hurt us at all like in the past.

Reckon North are getting a tough run. Both Goldstein & Higgins have taken marks that the umpires didn't pay.

The Higgins one has probably cost them a goal.

They are a young team, take out three of their best, most experienced players and they were always going to be in trouble. Tonight is just showing me, yet again, how overrated I think Norf are

Anyone else think Stringer has gone backwards? i haven't been at all impressed with anything he's done this year.

Not a great game of footy.

Dogs look to be overrated. A top 4 contender should be able to cover a couple of injuries  their composure and know cling inside 50 have been horrible

wells and Waite are adding a lot to the Roos this year. Reckon they'll be top 4

Anyone care to guess how Stringer can run the ball over the line while being tackled and it's not deliberate while Luke McDonald spoils a marking contest and gathers the ball as it's going over the line but gets called on it?

This new ruling on it is a joke!

It's their kicking skills that are being missed most 'Rod' along with the composure and experience of Murphy.

The lack of talls could be covered if they were using the ball better, but they're not.

I think he's been listening to the Ablett snr comparisons and trying to take mark of the year...he's not but he is good as shown by that great give to Dahlhaus...

Are the players, and coaches for that matter, under some obligation to take those interviews during a game?  Absolutely hate it

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
