Classic Smokescreens and Miirors Expect BOTH to play!

Maybe, maybe not, but someone will have to be very, very unlucky to make way for both of them.  On the other hand, but the prospect of both playing has me very, very excited.

It's Trac time baby. Don't name him and not play him. That's just cruel to all involved.

Tigers rushing back Deledio and Maric. Desperate times.

Careful Deeold. You don't want to wear yourself out before the game.

He has essentially been named with an asterisk next to his name if you read the report from Mahoney.

If Garlett can't get through the main session tomorrow, then he'll play. If Garlett gets through, then he probably wont.

Deledio coming back with no match fitness. It was a disaster when they did that last year (he injured himself again).

Rather amusing to see them desperately repeating old mistakes. Ah, Richmond.

I thought it would be a tough week at the selection table and I believe it was. With the extended bench there are still some tough decisions to be made on Friday.

Pedersen I expect to be there, he was too good last week to leave out and the structure worked well.

I would give Hunt a second run. he deserves it.

ANB for a good run after his form at Casey last few weeks.

Garlett in if fit. if not, time for Petracca

Kennedy, unlucky

Garland to play at Casey.

I agree,  Especially at my age, with the game 72 + hours, and three sleepless nights away!  Gotta love our footy Club!!

They'd be insane to play lids, he's a gun but with the interchange cap there is nowhere to hide for underdone players, if he breaks down it will cost them any chance in this game and i don't expect them to risk him until he's 100% right to go.

Don't think Petracca will play.

Petracca won't play if Garlett gets up, which he probably will. Nor ANB, but they'll take ANB as emergency. Final listed bench:

Pedersen, Hunt, Kennedy, Garlett

Emergency: ANB

Hampson and Astbury both named on the ground, neither could walk after last weeks match.

Deledio a big risk, and Maric a beast of a competitor, but has looked past it for a year IMO.

Richmond are all in on this one, win or disaster.

I'd much prefer Garlett than Petracca.

If games we were won on raw talent alone we would win this by 150

Our talent is far superiors to the Tigers  who might be the most boring team in the comp

Very interesting to note that Hampson as been named first ruck while Maric on the bench? Surely they wont play with 2 genuine ruckman in the same side?

Unless Hampson starts forward i cannot see how they could play with the two ruckman plus Vickery.

Let's hope he starts forward, he's the most useless forward going around.

I guess we wait and see how garlett goes tommorow, if petracca was playing they would have made a big deal about it like they have done with the other debutants, I guess they could still do that tommorow, problem I now have is I told myself I wouldn't miss tracs debut if it was in Melbourne, but I have to work Sunday and don't finish work till 6pm and being an hour away no way I will make it, but if they say he is playing tommorow well I might chuck a sickie, if they don't name him tommorow I hope he plays at Casey as I would be [censored] if he was emergency and got a late call up and I miss it

Maybe they cut Maric from the extended bench?

Looks like a bit of cat and mouse being played with this weeks with the ins and outs.

It's a weird game of cat and mouse, i reckon the club would be hoping they play an underdone lids over a 100% fit player, and i'm sure Gawn back himself to comfortable beat either or both the ruckman.

I am absolutely certain they'd be more worried about Garlett than we would be about Lids or Maric.

I'm getting very aroused by the thought of Tracc playing..... in a man love kinda way (possibly multiple other ways as well!)

Sunday is a really bloody long way away when your finally looking forward to the Dees playing again!

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
