And then thinks he's really funny.

For what it's worth I stopped watching when Brownless and Crawford became semi-permanent panelists. Not only did they add nothing but took away from the show one-third of the contemporary players.

Stopped watching it around 10 or so years back right around the time I finally grew up myself and realised it was all toilet humor and zero footy analysis

Saw a random episode at someone's house last year and I couldn't believe home much more it had deteroriated since ed and Trevor left

It's a relic of the 90s for me...

Anyone remember Live and kicking?  ☺

Don't watch it much at all, usually scroll through till I get the news bit from Barrett, then I'm out. But Good luck to her, at the end of the day, its another Job, high pressured and scrutinised a lot.

I actually find the most balanced footy discussion show to Be Talking Footy on 7mate. not a massive wrap on the panellists, but they don't scream over each other, they don't contrive arguments, they are not journo's, so you actually get footy talk that you can listen to, again, don't always agree with them, but its a watchable show.

It's a brilliant move, because there's only 2 possible outcomes:

1) It totally works and turns the show around, hopefully making it a bit more mature and actually about footy

2) It totally flops, Newman does what we all expect and it gets taken off the air

Win/win

Third outcome, it continues exactly the same as always, but with a female co-host added.

Unfortunately you don't see the worst best  of it dc as my puerile humour is often removed by moderators who have no taste for refined scatology.

Agree. I could care less about what Dyson Heppel thinks about a game he's not playing and offers no insight into, or current coaches and players tiptoeing their way around copping a fine for giving an honest response.

Just give me some goddamn footy analysis.

And if I cared about watching the Footy Show, I'd probably be annoyed that they've added another cats person to the Geelong love-fest... but I don't.

I actually know this, and it used to bother me... but some reason I elected to stop swimming upstream.

Some people in the know would say Rebecca certainly qualifies alongside GL (if and when he returns) & to a degree SN. Some media has picked up on the fact that her now husband - Miller (Madderns 2nd marriage) - was once wed to her fellow work colleague/reporter/presenter Rahni Sadler, before Maddern had an affair with cameraman Miller allegedly away whilst working in LA on a story (work). Sadler was left heart broken with the breakup of her 12 month marriage.

It's also alleged Maddern's personal relationships since have become a little messy. This may help explain her move to Nine.

Apparently Maddern's new gig as co-host on TFS has Garry's blessing......

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
