Dane Swan's injury looked very very bad!

Don't like seeing champions (or anyone, go down like that). Played against Swannys old man Billy who would give you a smack in the eye and buy you a cold beer and an ice pack for the eye later!

Good luck Dane!

This is reminding me of how much I absolutely loathe North Melbourne. Come on Crows.

Pies are tanking

GWS own the Pies First Selection in the 2016 National Draft. Would be most amusing if they had a crap season but still came into the draft in the 20s!

Franklin 4.1, Tippett 0.1. Easy to see which one they got their $1M value for.

Interesting (after today's match) to see the two Collingwood players with the greatest disposals were both traded from GWS!

Pies just look very average all over the field, hard to see what they are trying to do

BenKen happy with his change of club right about now...

Thought the same thing. Wonder how Howe feels? In the doghouse with his coach and his teammates serve up this rubbish for round one.

Don't worry.

They'll let him on the field eventually and he will attempt and even take a few screamers but I doubt he will have any meaningful impact.

Pies on the bottom of the ladder. At least essenscum fans will be happy. Looks like nth will win. But I have a feeling all the news will be about pies, buckley and the drugs stuff.

Not a bad idea.

I think the Sydney guy playing his 1st game and kicking 3 goals may get the rising star nom.

Nth got up. Oh well. Brad will be doing fist pumps in the box.

Heard Buckley say broken bones in his leg and ankle.

Buckley and Eddie are obviously giving their guys the wrong drugs. They should get Hird in as a consultant.

I actually felt a little sorry for Bucks tonight.  He looked so shocked in the coaching box, and then having to front the media after that week and such a shocking performance.

But, this is Buckleys team. No longer living in Mick's shadow. Their ability represents Nathan's ability to coach. Go figure FIGJAM.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
