Glad im not the only one that sees this..

I donโ€™t think itโ€™s intentional. He is just a proud dad boasting about his son. ย 9/10 fathers would do this to some extent.ย

I wasn't suggesting it was intentional. That's the problem really. The lack of self awareness.ย

Anyway, I loved Jeff as a player and I don't know the intricacies of the situation, so I'll leave it there.

Hope the kid finds an independent player manager in due course

Do you reckon we can get Dwayne fired for this hypothetical oblique future racist reference?

He is really starting to look like his dad.

Good on Jeff for highlighting his son's credits and the teams he has been in.ย

Perhdps a photo of the team instead could be another ideaย

To keep everyone updated, Kalani White is currently representing Queensland in the under 15's National AFL Championships here in Lavington.ย

The Queensland team played their first game against Victoria which Kalani played in and had another game against today against ACT. I was hoping to head down to the 1pm game today to watch but couldn't get out of a work meeting.

Lavi is only a 10 minute drive from my area so I'm hoping to head down on Wednesday to watch against South Australia in the 10am game.

Just a side note, young Kalani gets involved on multiple Melbourne Demons Instagram pages and gets stuck into trolls bagging the club. Itโ€™s brilliant to see he is passionate and loves the MFC

I love this. Doubt we donโ€™t get him to the club if heโ€™s good. Seems a mad Dees man like his dad.ย
If heโ€™s half as good we would have done well!

My understanding is that so far he's shown to be a high end talent. Still a lot of water to go under the bridge until draft time, but from what one our development coaches told me today (Murray Bushrangers), he played a pretty impressive game yesterday in the ruck and was jumping all over his opponent in the ruck.

I think we can be cautious and wait until he comes out with 'White to Brown to black' and then really unload on him. I'm taking odds on it happening.

Watched him last month at Lavington in the under 15's championships for Queensland.

Was able to get up front and close. I would estimate he is around the 198cm mark? Was easily the tallest on the field by a fair margin.ย

The scary thing is there is probably more growth in him!

Donโ€™t say a word about him, or some on here will slam you.

While you are at it donโ€™t mention Kynan Brown or any other possible future father/son.

Did he impress? He looked pretty coordinated and athletic is some of the vision from last years grand final.ย

He's a very tall kid and looks a talented athlete. Loves the Dees! He'll likely be a father-son draftee if he sticks with footy as a career. Best of luck to him and hope he doesn't feel too much pressure!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
