I think the list of players who did not make the trip will be the most interesting.

IMO if you ain't on this trip your chances of playing in the early part of 2016 must be slim.

Pardon me interrupting with some discussion about the Melbourne Football Club but it's a fact that the team has arrived on the Sunshine Coast and were working hard today.

Here's proof.

Geez Maxy looks impressive with that beard! Hope it's a big year for him!

An 8 day camp with the coaches and support staff, surely all the players will be up there? If Petracca is in his moonboot I think everyone else should be. But I do agree mostly with the idea that if you aren't doing a fair bit of the training at the camp then your chances of playing early are reduced.

On the injury front I'll be keen to know if Ben Newton is out doing any running because from the one photo of him boxing on the club twitter he looks super lean and fit.

Damn, Big Max is a beast isn't he?  I'm impressed with how cut vandenBerg  is looking too, he's really dropped that bit of weight he was carrying last year.

Please keep up the good work waynewussell.

I only wish I had the time to get up to the Coast myself but I only just got back from an overseas trip and I have to show my face around work.

Look forward to your impressions on the new recruits.

Been working hard for over an hour now. Crowd built up to over 200 now. A few of the hardest trainers looking stuffed! Jones tackled Hunt and slung him to the ground before to give him a taste of what it is like with the big boys!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
