Yes, how dare he. He should know his place.

And those cards are nothing but rumours and the inclinations that a poster got on Microsoft Lync from a colleague talking to Chris who said nothing apparently.

He's talking about Casboult - who is famously, FAMOUSLY, awful in front of goals.

Unless Pedersen and Frost are injured again, I don't see room for Dawes in the team next year. I think he would be agreeable to a trade if he was told "either go to team x or play for Casey". He will never be a good player for us. Having a key forward that can't take a mark is as useful as having a screen door on a submarine.

Well, Dawes has kicked 31... In two very underwhelming seasons according to many on here...

Garlett kicked 40 and Hogan 44 just this season...

And just on the last bloke - Hogan owns this forwardline, I don't know how Casboult is going to go with being a witless foil outside of this forward 50, up the ground - I don't want him and his opponent mucking up Hogan's Forwardline.

Gawn was a lumbering nightmare when he rested down there against Carlton, spoiled Hogan and the game for us in the end.

exactly.. 2 blokes

My point is he isnt the bozo many suggest. I dont argue hes necessarily the answer either.

Gawn hampers so Casboult would ?

What logic is that. Gawn is a resting ruck. Casboult a forward. Entirely different.

Id play Casboult from the square and Hogan at CHF.. just my thinking

Its pure conjecture and probably moot but id prefer Levi to Dawes if that were the choice

You would play someone between Hogan and the goals?

Jeez, I hope no-one else thinks like that.

Get him space and get to his feet, and do it in front of the goals.

JBrown worked fine as a CHF. Don't see the problem myself

hadnt seen that lol

The games id seen him in his forte seemed around the 40-45 mark

But hey nothing wrong with that kick. Ive seen some less effective results at other times.

Good vid CFP

I think what you'll find is we'll try to recruit casboult to play further up the ground, where his goal kicking woes won't hurt us as much.

Have him play CHF, swing round with his long penetrating kick to hogan one out, and Hogan will be laughing all day long.

Thats my view on it.

I believe we had a nibble at him during the 2012 trade period but he opted to stay on at the Blues.

He is a cracking contested mare, one of the better in the league IMHO. Would be very happy to have him as the second tall forward/ Ruckman but I really can't imagine Carlton letting him go for a reasonable price.

For our third rounder... absolutely.

If Dawes is on the table may i suggest that Jess is going to move out to CHF in stages starting next year. As his tank increases I just cannot see him staying put in the goal square. Already this year he has moved up the field and as a junior played CHB. He is mobile and good below his knees and delivers the ball well. All assumptions I have read so far having playing full forward and I suspect he is more in the Jonathan Brown mould. My question is who will hold down full forward or rotate with Jessie? Stringer and Gunston both showed the value of a quick marking forward in an open forward line.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
