Was shaping up as a big improver when he suffered a bad hamstring tear which virtually ended his season although he returned late for some games at Casey.

Will be a welcome return in 2016.

Still needs to tidy up his decisonmaking but he's naturally skilled, quick and isn't afraid to take the game on. Tough as bricks too. He's like an upgraded version of Tapscott. Hopefully his career takes a different path.

A few years ago, I said I rated Kent as our best young player. He's not so young any more, but I still think he has a really good shot of becoming a fantastic footballer. Hopefully he gets a good enough run with injury to show it.

I love how he got up and continued playing after he got cleaned up in the opening minutes of round 1.

If he can get a clean run with injury, improve his tank, he will be a staple in our side for many years. Has a bit of toe, a good long kick, and a bit of mongrel. Great defensive pressure in our forward line. He and Garlett would be a formidable duo up there I reckon.

I'm a massive fan of Kent. I really hope he gets a clean run at it, because I think he's got the potential to become a star for us. He's capable of playing a variety of positions, but I prefer him in a high half forward role where he can accumulate possessions but also impact the scoreboard.

I'm a huge fan of Kent. Has that mixture of speed and class that we missed for most of the year.

I don't understand the love that people around here have for Kent. Been on the list three years and averages 10.7 disposals, 0.8 goals and 1.8 tackles a game, and even less than that this year. Everyone seems to want to get rid of Toumpas, but he averaged 15 touches and 3 tackles a game this year.

Yes, Kent is capable of kicking goals on the run from outside 50, but he is also capable of spraying three more shots out on the full or going missing for half a game. He would want a big year in 2016.

Go watch an the early games this year and you will see his forward pressure was enormous.

Kenty has considerable potential, and the attributes to really complement our structures, but we haven't seen enough of him. Needs to get more of the ball, develop his engine so that he can have occasional runs through the midfield, and most of all, get a reasonable run without injury. If he can meet these requirements, I would expect him to become a very important part of long-term success at the MFC.

His first half against Richmond before he injured his hamstring was as good as you'll see from a pressure point of view.

As with Salem, (and Pedersen of that matter) I think many may underestimate the impact to the team of his long term injury.

Hope he gets back better than ever.

This guys got something.

That really hits the nail on the head doesn't it? There's something there that gets the crowd standing up and screaming. He just has that pace and controlled aggression in the way he plays. He's another player who probably needs to gain a bit more consistency and up his disposal count, but he absolutely has a bit of X-factor to him. I really hope he can continue to improve and become a legitimate star.

I saw a massive improvement this year before his season was curtailed with injury. Talk about bad hamstring. Hope he bounces back from it next year. Really like this guy.

32 games from 3 years in the system is alarming. Has the tools to be a player but his body had let him down.

2016 will be career defining for Kent. I look forward to seeing him on the park again, and hope he can play 15 or more games next season.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
