I'm watching this and it's into the third quarter. I haven't seen Frawley win a clear one-on-one yet. Incredible.

He does a great job running around like a headless chicken though.

Watching the replay too. Still delicious!

His second efforts are non-existent. The Hawks hierarchy would be fuming. He's hopeless and it's brilliant at watch.

Frawley's idea of second efforts involves a half-assed jog towards whichever direction the ball ends up after he makes another embarrassing fumble, missed mark, failed tackle, etc. I'm just glad he's someone else's problem. That it's Hawthorn's problem is certainly icing on the cake.

I can't wait to see Howe half-assing around the field next year in another team's guernsey while whatever kid we recruit from him throws himself at contests.

It's great seeing Frawley fail. The Hawks don't know whether to play him forward or back now too. Wonder if they'll still back him next week. Lake was poor tonight too

They might both get dropped for Spangher & Schoenmakers. Haha!

Always thought he was overrated..

I wonder if posters still believe our team is missing him?

Last night he was bog ordinary and it looks like he may be on the chopping block next week.

Missing him?

With T Mac standing supreme in defence and having Dunny, Garlo and Oscar, I can't see us missing Frawley at all.

Been saying all along, Frawley will cost Hawthorn the three-peat. He's fools gold and the Hawks arrogantly thought they could "save" him from the MFC, just like Blease and Geelong.

So, so great to see the pricks lose.

And some people still think it's Melbourne's development that has been our biggest problem. Amazing.

It's a disgrace that the Bulldogs have to play their final at the MCG, if the grounds had the exact same size dimensions, both had a roof only the MCG held more people then I would understand but the Bulldogs are giving up a huge advantage. It's the same as Melbourne having to play a final at Etihad instead of the MCG.

Don't agree, the mistake was made by the AFL playing a game in Geelong a couple of years back. In typical fashion they made decisions on the run without thinking of the consequences.

The home advantage is home state, not ground.

Sydney have been disadvantaged for years having to play out at Mikes S...Heap when the SCG is their home ground.

Finals need to be played at the best ground in the home state.

100% disagree.

If Etihad was the best ground you would be happy for Melbourne to play finals there?

yeah, nah

if dogs are to win a flag they have to do it on the G. the more games they have at the G the better prepared they will be

being a shyteyhad specialist is fine to make the finals but won't help you to win finals

Sorry. If you earn the right to a home final you should be able to play that final wherever you like.

The dogs should be able to play at the whitten oval if they wanted to.

Buy 22 oxygen tanks and schedule the match underwater then.

No you don't...you get to play it in your home state and don't have to travel that's all you get.

It's just because we have too many teams in Melbourne that we get this argument nearly every finals series.

If Etihad were the premier venue that could take the big crowd then that's where it would be played...It's not so it's a non argument.

You're missing my point, the grounds aren't identical in size and shape. If it were a basketball court or a soccer pitch I would agree, but Etihad as a ground suits the Bulldogs and how they play which is what they are missing out on. It's essentially a neutral venue.

No, I understand your point but your ladder position only gets you a home state final not a home ground final and that's my point. The interstate clubs get a bigger advantage but that cancels out when they play the GF.

The AFL stuffed up giving Geelong a game at their home ground, it's pretty normal for them to do this...a bit like the hole they've dug with the priority pick. They make too much up as they go with out thinking it out.

Posted

There's a passage of play which sums Frawley up perfectly. He drops the mark, West Coast burst out the back and as plenty of Hawthorn players gut run back into defensive 50, Frawley is left behind jogging.

Absolutely classic.

They might prefer Etihad, but ultimately they need to win at the 'G to get the glory.

Why avoid the inevitable? They're the kind of team with no fear; take on the challenge and prove everyone wrong.

Many of us went to Finals at Waverly. That ground was bigger than the MCG.

Etihad is a shoe box in comparison

The dogs can still win at the 'G, but so can Adelaide

Classic game tonight.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
