I have missed only two Dees games in our city since the late 1950's , both through illness . My late father ( b.1908 ) did much the same . It's just what we do .

The AFL want to get onto the front foot with this one!

Offer 2 for 1 deal access all areas if not ........

Then I reckon 5,698 People will attend!

Shocking indictment!

I dunno If I blame the MFC or AFL more!

GWS Absolutely right

Greater Western Shizzen

And we are worse!

Not sure how it is anyone's fault outside of the MFC picket.

if we had played like an AFL side last week and won then turned in a reasonable performance against Freo there would be 30 000 at the game.

Simple, The AFL in its greeeeedy misogynistic, selfish way said,

Oh hell, we need another team out of NSW !!!

NOT!

So zero credibility as a "Bona Fide" team with background + Zero fan base in Melbourne, + A shizen Dees team + Abomination of a ground = 5,698 People !

Simple really!

Got an email today from the club trying to market the last round. Note All members and their guests are invited to attend the Victory Room before, during and after the game. Hot food and beverages will be available to purchase, players will be in attendance and you will have the opportunity to socialise with other members. Clearly the club is worried and I suspect we will make a massive loss. I still will not go as they are unwatchable.

I will. But I'm not a father

Either the top level will be closed or the bottom level will be completely empty

I imagine if we get flogged the players will conveniently disappear..

Saw that too. My first thought was - why the hell will the players be in attendance in the Victory room during the game????

I just assumed that the AFL had scheduled Melbourne v GWS on Fathers Day to allow us to complain once again about that former player who jumped ship and his father. If the food were to be free it might all be consumed by said father before the rest of us get a chance.

In light of the current statements coming from the coach and the ceo, we can be negative and not turn up. Thus confirming what the club, players and football universe thinks of us.

OR we can be positive and turn up proving that we exist. Its this "Melbourne supporters dont care" [censored] that gets to me.

In Vietnam but I'll be in town early September.

Do I go?

Only seen two shellackings this year so far.

Think I might add my non - attendance to the negativity/protest (non ) crowd.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
