Round 19 (Non MFC Games)

Didn't rate Richmond this year so they have been a real surprise so far (after a slow start).

...I think some clubs have players who are crucial to their success and the Delidio/Richmond pairing is a good example. With him missing tonight I will be interested to see if the Tiges can stand up.

Given they are playing a middle rung Adelaide they should get the win but this is one they could drop. It wouldn't surprise me if they do.

Come on Crows!!!

Kick Geelong out of the 8 for good

One way traffic. Crows should be miles ahead. They've brought the Eagles' goal kicking boots.

Tigers are a shadow of themselves without Deledio. Amazing that one player can make such a difference.

tom lynch is a handy player huh?

Is he being judged purely by tonight's game? Considering we have supposed best 22 players who can't kick the footy after 5-6 years on the list.

Deledio is more than a barometer player, he's almost their entire team's structure. They completely fall apart and look stagnant without him.

What a typically Richmond thing to do: beat Hawthorn then follow it up with a rubbish performance against a middle-tier side.

Wow Crows should be flogging them

Richmond are so lucky

Hard for adelaide to lose when the umpires are giving them 50/50 frees and turning a blind eye to Richmond's obvious ones.

Hawks probably played their worst game of the year and Tigers played out of their skins.

Richmond are still an incredibly ordinary, top heavy team. Bulldogs are building something that is the real deal. Richmond however are posers at best.

Bruce still practically orgasmic whenever he says the name Rance, despite him being beaten by Walker.

if Crows hold on Cats are out of the 8 and play Sydney tomorrow and the Hawks next week

All I care about now besides the Demons finishing with a few more wins is that Geelong don't make the 8

Absolutlely HH. Essendon and Carlton are gone and Collingwood currently have issues. If the Cats miss the eight and with us on the rise perhaps the football gods have decided 50 years is long enough

Sauce Jacobs is a good ruckman. Interviews well, talked smartly about his role with the adelaide mids

Tigers 9th, Geelong 10th, Melbourne 13th. Perfect final ladder, IMHO.

Perfect ladder: Melbourne 1st, Richmond 9th, North Melbourne 17th, Essendon 18th. Fill in the blanks.

Well, I was trying to be realistic on the final 5 rounds. ;)

Don't really want Essendon getting the best talent in the draft either. They can just welt aimlessly around the bottom 4 for the next decade for all I care.

I watch Richmond every week, and there has never been a luckier team. Lucky bounces, umpires, opposition inaccurate kicking, drives me nuts every week.

Been playing rubbish footy and winning, except they played well against Freo and obviously the Hawks.

Thought the Crows would give them another break with their inaccurate kicking tonight. Gladly they ran away with it.

Tex gave Rance a Hogan style bath.

1 good ruckman is the way to go. Sauce tonight and Gawn last week (Goldstein every week) shows that if your 2 ruckmen are getting beaten by 1 you may as well be 2 men down.

Their game against Freo was the best I've seen them play in years. They were genuinely impressive and MADE Freo look ordinary. It was the major exception to the rule.

2 ruckmen + Vickery was a silly selection. And Riewoldt couldn't get involved either

Amazing the Saints sacked him really. He's now a handy player and they've spent the last three years desperately searching for a tall forward.

While it's good to see other teams have goal-kicking woes, I wish we could have pulled a couple of wins out through sheer weight of scoring like the Crows did.

I had the same thought at half time about how they had been winning despite playing terribly. Their game against GWS was on par with ours against Brisbane.

They were putrid last night though. Glad Adelaide finally kicked on; the difference could easily have been 100+.

Really missed lids, but inconsistency is an issue, i really think they bought into the hype.
