Featured Replies

Wow just wow...coach killing disposals that term...

Game over. Roos has got it wrong. Saints took a punt on youth and are a much better football team than us. Dawes, you can pack your bags.

1st quarter.

saints 28 demons 8

inside 50s saints 20 demons 5

Turnovers: Garland Viney Stretch Watts Vince Lamumba .

Stupid acts Tyson Dawes Hogan Viney (dont drag jt back in EVER!!)

Lack of awareness: Watts Vince

Poor skills Dawes Dawes Dawes Tyson Tyson

positives: Gawn,Grimes,+Jonesy goal

ONE GOAL IN THE OPENING QUARTER Vs ST KILDA IN A GAME WHERE WE SHOULD HAVE COME OUT BREATHING FIRE

NO RESPECT FOR THE SUPPORTERS AT ALL

Ugh classic mfc. Im out.

If Roos didn't sprint out there and tear shreds off every single one of them then I'd be very, very angry about that.

Grimes is just a terrible footballer.

Trade Dawes or give him back to Collingwood for free.

Just such a dumb team. Every midfielder gets sucked into the contest, leaving 3 opposition midfielders free on the outside, every [censored] week, does this not get addressed? The [censored] is going on.

dawes must go tottally embarssing

Seriously though, I am a better kick and have softer hands then Chris Dawes. I'm not kidding. This guy is supposed to do this for a living. Trains everyday to improve and he can't do the most simple things. Mark the [censored] thing you moron !!! I train 2 times a week and am 100% more skilled and a better mark then this bloke. What an embarrassment.

Hame Bas Lethal and Maxwell. That's just cruel.

I'll take all of them over Der-Wayne!

bring back Mike Williamson, or his clone/protege`.

.cut the technobabble

absolute garbage and gutless display. Hopeless skills when they get the ball. Hogan should not have missed that opening shot. continued the rot.

Taking the dogs for a long walk, the players don't give a [censored] and either do I. Saints just want to win more, we couldn't give a [censored]. The Saints want drop off like we do and we don't have the skill level to come back. Game over.

Boy they look miles quicker than us.

Our lack of speed evident early.

The highlight of the quarter was the closing siren.

True - but im so used to it - I of expected this.

Seems the players are satisfied with one good effort for the year (Geelong)

God this team frustrates the HELL out of me.

FMD stop the [censored] turnovers. It's only been 8.5 yrs!

This current squad while it includes:

Dawes

Watts

Garland

And

Howe as senior players, will never push forward as

a legitimate threat of even making finals.

We're as bad is it comes, still.

Grimes is just a terrible footballer.

Thought Grimes was our only bright light.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
