Northern Blues v Casey Scorpions

KC from Casey

Jones kicks Casey's 4th and sorry but I don't have a direct line to the medical rooms.

Yeah but you're at the actual game right? You seemingly won't answer that simple question, and if you're there then maybe you've heard something.

Half Time Casey 49 Northern Bullants 22

Late goals to Hunt & Spencer highlights in a lacklustre term.

... and ditto for Hunt. Thanks KC, as always.

Heard from a player during the week he was only slated to play a half. I'd be thinking he was taken off the ground and this Facebook poster has simply posted given he didn't return, but I'd think that was the plan all along. I doubt there's anything to worry about.

Hunt is growing as a player - he now has three.

He's the type of player who you don't notice much during a game and then he bobs up and has a big run or kicks an exciting goal.

Another one, the impatient ones on here wanted to get rid of.

Agree, although you can understand the impatience after almost a decade of no finals.

Exciting to see him backing up after a few good games. Hopefully he can continue to do this for Casey for the majority of the second half of the season.

Small correction Wiseblood if does not offend you too much.

Nearly a decade in the bottom six.

Did we recruit him as a back? The video on the MFC website says that he is relishing a new role as a forward.

Agree with all that Wise. Being an 'interstater' I've never seen him play, but from the snippets I've heard since he was drafted, he's a tantalizing prospect. Quick, good hands and a lovely kick, but doesn't seem to get a whole lot of the ball .... that's about all I've heard. Can anyone closer to the action fill in some gaps? Is he still very slightly built? Does he read the play well, and get to the right spots? What is his pressure like? Have most of his recent goals been as a crumber or long shots?

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
