It would be such a Melbourne thing to do to get belted by the bombers next week, the heat will be on them and Hird this week if they get belted by the saints

We should win next week. Essendon are horrible.

I dont think I could handle us losing to them.

They are mentally shot

You know you're a Melbourne supporter when you're already feeling extremely nervous about playing a horrible Bombers side next week instead of looking forward to it!

We never seem to win the ones we're expected to. I don't think I went into any of our wins this year feeling confident we'd get the 4 points, with the exception of the Tigers game.

On paper we should annihilate Essendon next week but I'm really worried about A) the recovery from Darwin and B) the inevitable media heat the Bombers will face all week, which could spur them on to come out and destroy us next week.

Anyway, they're the most beatable team we've had this year I reckon.

They have any injuries from this game yet? I saw Melksham limping

And Baguley a likely suspension

if we don't beat Essendon next week i'll be very, very disappointed. They are a rabble at the moment, and their second higher possession getter (Cooney) has just been subbed off injured.

They may well have a new coach next week.

I wonder if Hird will roll out the old #saga excuse again.

Any chance Essendon will wake up to the fact that he's just a [censored] coach?

If you want a laugh get on to the Dustin Fletcher Hangar site. Hird is never to blame, it's just one big conspiracy.

Derwayne: "You'd think if the Bombers lose to Melbourne next week, there may be some questions asked..."

Yep, just another clip about Melbourne by the F!og of F!ogs!

Essendon probably looking at another rebuild

Might be able to pick off some players

Rule 1

take nothing from Essendon......ticking time bombs

Essendon will come out firing next week. Mark my words, this is dangerous for us.

That's what I keep thinking. All their good mids not firing a shot means they will play well next week.

We might end up on top of the Bombers after this game, their % is about to take a smashing

I am getting lots of pleasure listerning to this on the radio.

It will be even sweeter watching the delay replay on 7.

Getting really nervous now, Hird may get sacked after this.

Worst case scenario for us. I was happy to see them lose but the media spotlight on them will be gigantic now, and they have a habit of responding.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
