The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread

Featured Replies

Matthew Lloyd recounted on 3aw, that Viney was amongst a youth touring team (I think).

Players were soft and coaches (Kirk, Lloyd, O'Loughlin) gave the group a spray and got out the bump bags.ย  Kirk held the bump bag and Viney apparently just hit it with all of his might.ย  Kirk had his head split open, but didn't cry.

So much to like! Clarrieโ€™s tackle, Viney the steam roller who turns like a gazelle and finds Gusy who takes a strong contested mark and best of all the genuine excitement on the bench.

In the words of Bruce " Viney, Viney, Viney".

Jack was nothing short of a sensational match winner last night.

Breustโ€™s attempt with an outstretched legย at smothering looked dangerous to me.ย

Free kick Hawthorn

Viney's acceleration and side step are truly elite.ย  His foot injury does not seem to have affected them like say Trengove's.ย  On numerous occasions his burst and his direction change were equal to the best ever.ย  Let's hope the prognosis for his feet stays good.

De Viney!

Absolute madman!

Is it just me or is Nat Fyfe enjoying ripping Vineyโ€™s shirt off him a little too much? (Not that thereโ€™s anything wrong with that)

yes i found it very odd with three freo players delightedly undressing viney

i'll have to ask uncle bitters for his psychoanalysis, seems very freudian

Lots of things Jack could have said, all of which he would be in trouble for nowdays.

This has to be my all time favourite thread. ?

Great clip.

Is that what started the nonsense? So Walters was trying to bump Viney, got sat on his date and his teammates didn't like it? Then he head butted Viney?

Looks to me like they were deliberately trying to poke the bear. That's madness.

headbutted lockhart.... but yes your premise seemingly is correct :)

JV was absolutely fantastic on Saturday. Shame on those that wanted him traded at end of season. He is our heart and soul.ย  He was back to his best and led from the front and took no prisoners.

he was instrumental toย the win. Similar form to the finals last year where he was central to the results we achieved.

Not from me, he is the right colours. When is he a free agent please? Won't be able to play at Marvel but

ย

I don't mean to be a downer but I feel there is a concerning lack of animated gifs showing unsuspecting players entering the dark confines of Viney's pain cave

ย

One day, hopefully several years from now, this thread will be harvested for the Jack Viney retirement party.

And it will be beautiful.

Love it. The stager bumpsย ourย captainย and goes down like he was hit in the head with a sledgehammer.

Took 3 Dockers, all bigger than him, to rip his guernsey off him. Love it.
