That momentum shifted drastically when Dunn inexplicably torped it down the middle. No need to do it. He's played one good season in his career. That's all I'll say.

McDonald, Garland and Fitzy have all had shockers so far. Brayshaw outstanding and Vanders once again good.

Sorry i forgot about this bloke..... played 1 half decent game for this club so far and IMO we've gone in with too many talls.

Leave Fitzy Bail out for Newton and Riley. At least they can be rotated through the middle where we are getting smashed.

The old wines for toump debacle raises its ugly head yet again

Same blokes continually make the same mistakes.

Tom McDonald. 50/50 short kicks.

Toumpous. Turn over king

Dunn. Kick outs.

Bail. How is he infront of Newton and Riley in getting a game.

Not surprised that Schulz and Westhoff were nowhere to be seen when times were bad, yet got on the end of a few when they started to run on. Both remind me of Hernan Crespo and cherry picking.

Schulz. What is it with this guy. Kills us every time.

Typical. During our 45 minutes of dominance we slowly edge the lead up to 24 and then bang, the opposition pile on 6 quick ones.

All games ebb and flow, we need need to stem the bleeding when they get on top.

Posted

Matt Jones 2 disposals

Bail 2 disposals

Howe 1 disposal

I need say no more.

Pittard- M.Jones direct opponent 3 touches...

Tine to reset and get back to what we've done that's dominated most of this game. Three losses in a row will have port nervous if this gets close at the end

The problem is that Port were playing cautious low confidence footy. We gave them a sniff, and now their confidence is back. We can reset all we like, but it's out of our hands now, a rout is on its way, and in the space of 8 minutes, Port are back in the season.

They don't just break your heart. They tear it out from your F'ing throat. Don't give up again Melbourne.

Roos has favourites, or rather, he has his least favourites

Probably wouldn't have lost the lead if RIley and Newton were playing and Bail and M Jones weren't

JW,lifted the head, failed to stay over the pill and then flapped the arms out looking for the free.

Howe is back to his old ways. Just one handball.

Gave away clearance after clearance from the middle, parking players back will do us no good at all.

Also, that free against Dunn was absolute garbage. Why should it be any different to a shepherd in general play? What a joke

This.

We're completely rooted from here on in. It's completely inexplicable as to why that 8 minutes happened.

Totally lost confidence. Playing from behind. Stopped tackling. Not taking the game on. It's psychological.

It's pi$$ weak is what it is.

Been a long time defender of watts but it's time for an extended stay down at Casey. We could sell him to the Melbourne Tigers, he's more suited to Basketball.

This is my read to half time. Melbourne owned them well into first half. Umpires then kicked in with debatable frees in Port's favour. Lead dissolved in a flash. MFC then looked like knee jerk losers. Port started to look like AFL/SANFL elites. Didn't think anyone on our team had suddenly looked like a dud. Started to think about what would turn the tide, possession, Howe screamer, Watts inspiration, Spencer grab, Jones burst, Garlett brilliance, Hogan free kick.... could go on but none of it happened. At half time Port would be feeling comfortable. That is to our advantage.

Mate, that is the worst hyperbole of the thread yet.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
