Anyone know if radio mentioned if Bail is injured? Haven't seen him out here for quite a while and we do seem to be one rotation down on the bench

I wouldn't worry - the commentators wouldn't be able to identify their own thumb if their life depended on it

All over. Scorps lose by 24 points - poor kicking and a lack of discipline costly.

Sounds like we were umpired out of it!

no standouts overall but best for mine were Toumpas, Grimes, Riley for his second half and maybe Terlich. Don't let the goals tally fool you Pederson was terribly quiet today.

Just driving back from the game now. .

My stand outs are..

Grimes

Spencer

Matt Jones

Fitzpatrick

Toumpas.

In that order.

Out depth isnt what people think it is...just saying

The logical ins for next week would be Grimes for Jetta and Toumpas for Kent.

Some conjecture that Tyson may miss as well.

So Riley gets 24 touches and had his name called twice...

Barely touched it first half when there was a bit more speed in the game. He was only having 5 minute bursts before going to the bench. Second half he was in and under almost every pack and spent a much bigger % of time on ground. Has good hands in close, but his lack of speed and stamina will have him found out in the next level up

What is the standard of our opponent like?

Those pushing for selection have got to be playing excellent footy.

Footscray were fluent and skilled in movement. They'd have about 6-8 blokes who could step into the seniors confidently. Casey worked hard but couldn't string plays together like the opposition.

Riley was great extracting the ball from packs.

Grimes was clean in the contest, he created play and used the ball well through the corridor. I've been a massive knock on him in the past but today he looked good and could step back in.

Terlich was strong in the contest and gave a lot of drive. Put his hand up also.

Toump faded in and out. Has a lot of poise but not sure if you'd line him up on the wing in the seniors and probably a couple in front of him for a back position.

Fitzys fustrating in the sense that with a bit more mongrel he'd be being playing 1's. Won some good contests out of the back line in the last quarter but the game was over.

I don't think it's best to bring toump back in against the ultra pressure of Freo. Let him keep plying his trade unless injury means choice is limited. Sounds like Grimes is a given though. You can guarantee he will be hungry and will do everything to stay there.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
