His Kicking Style and technique need URGENT overhaul.

Whoever is the designated kicking coach down at the club needs to remedy his approach and style ASAP!

Stop Start Dozzy Do, Hesitation, start again Shhesh doesn't inspire too much confidence.

Needs to be remedied NOW!

Potential champion, maybe but kicking needs to be addressed!

His field kicking is exceptional for a young key tall. It's not his technique that's the trouble.

The run-up and set shot kicking will improve as he gains more confidence

Nup not buying it 1 I think Kicking style is ingrained from an early age, nothing to do with Maturity, All to do with developing a set shot routine!

I believe that this needs to be rectified ASAP!

The kid hardly missed in the VFL two years ago by all reports. The action is weird and non-fluid, but I'm willing to reserve judgement for now; the sample set is small.

Even if it does prove to be ineffective, I expect it'll be remedied easily and quickly.

Nick Reiwold, Travis Cloke and Luke Breust are current big goal kickers who had horrendous patches in their careers where they could not hit the side of a barn at any distance. FFS he's only played three games.

Nup still not buying. This needed to be remedied a long time ago even before MFC came on the scene.

A lot of work is required at this point!

I'm sure the club and coaches are very aware of this!

Got nothing to do with having "Horrendous Patches" has everything to do with a consistent, fluid action which I do not think he has!

To be a consistent goal kicker at the highest level this is mandatory!

Question

Who currently or a former player with a jerky action was a consistent goal kicker??

Not too many!/

Jimmy Krakour is one of few!

I'm not sure what you're not buying. In 2013 he kicked 39.21, including a bag of 6.2 and a 5.1. In only two game did he kick more behinds than goals (3.4 and 2.3). The evidence is all there.

Josh Kennedy comes to mind.

I can see your facts and stats Nasher of a few yeqars ago which ARE impressive, but would like to see a fluid smooth action with the same effect at the senior level to be convinced!

The bloke is a competitor and has drive. Will fix his flaws because he wants to.

Was just discussed on On the Couch.... but they also discussed Garlett... while everyone is bagging Watts over a couple of dropped marks at crucial times, Garlett has been kicking at 38% efficiency and has 0.5 from set shots in his total of 5.10 in three games. If Hogan and Garlett can get their acts together, we will be much better off... Watts is not the problem.

I agree, I spose I just want the complete "Champion" "Gun" Forward which we have lacked for such a long time.

Very happy with how he is going, but just mention this "Anomaly" as part of a discussion point! Which IMO does need to be worked on!

Just sayin!

That's 40 points we wouldn't have had last year. Excluding his score assists.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
