No I haven't to be honest, living in Qld for the past 28 years hasn't helped I guess.

Perhaps you could give me several examples from 'half' the ex non-indigenous Demon players you refer to ?

Last time I saw Neita bouncing down Collins st he was puddly, Hoppy, Mitch Clark, Wheata, Jacko. Yet wandered past Yz on Friday after work and fit as a fiddle, Stinga is ripped still, "indigenous" or no some like a feed more than others.

Ahhhhh HA HA HA HA!

Essendon are that desperate to find a way to quickly remove James Hird from the contest, of course they bring in Matthew Whelan.

The board is just playing the tape of the hit, over and over, and hoping now everything will be ok.

the board, & the commission

You are wrong about Clark.

The others I will take your word for it.

Watching TJ slot that goal after Matty Whelan ko-ed the cheat reminded me how enjoyable it was to watch Demons during the period from about 2000 to 2006 (except 2003).

TJ had class. In spades.

Anyone know what he's up to these days?

Yep. I would expect it's pretty common for blokes who are used to eating like an athlete to ditch the exercise but maintain the diet.

hopefully he does this again while hes there

And unfortunately after that hit Hird dusted himself off, slowly got back into the match and pretty much won it for them

As an footy supporter I always enjoyed watching Buckley, Voss and Hird play and the debate as to who was the best. Whatever we think of him now he was an out and out champion of that club. It is a shame his off-field activities have so irretrievably tarnished his own legacy

Exactly the way I feel too.

Hird was a brilliant footballer, but even then he went off piste regularly - remember when he called out an umpire as biased?

Sadly, it seems increasingly likely that Charters and his drugs played a big part in him coming back from a navicular injury.

This just makes me sad.

Ditto, but a man's got to make a living.

Personally I'd rather scrub toilets than set foot in that place.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
