Boys on the Track!

What I meant. As a sixties' band, Cream were around too early to be considered for events that happened in the 70's.

I have a double DVD of Cream live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2005. They reformed for a one off performance (well, 4 nights) and were very very good.

Fair dinkum unbelievable you people are. Satyr or TDI is a veteran of the Isle of Wight, Glastonbury or some other like phenomenon of the late 60s/early 70s (next best thing after Woodstock and Sunbury) which makes him an absolute legend who deserves to be treated with the ultimate respect and not to be mocked with this Frankie Valli muzak.

You need to honour him with some real bands and singers like T Rex, David Bowie, Traffic, Fairport Convention, Joan Baez and Melanie.

Show some respect.

Welcome back Satyr and good health!

Good luck with your cd players, walkmans and pump up shoes dinosaurs.

Hardtrack is that performance on iTunes? Would be good to see.

And by the way Stevie Windwood is still doing some great stuff but then I am talking 10 years ago come to think of it. Dinosaur yes.

The CD is there for $15 EH, but not the DVD (well, MP4 or whatever the video format is). But the DVD is available locally from stores... follow this lnk to get all of the details of the content:

Hey, they wouldn't have made Jersey Boys if they weren't any good!

Plus they were awesomely spoofed by TISM.

I wonder if AFLPA have checked whether EssUndone started their injection program before the allowed period?

Fair dinkum, what a load of wankers.

FWIW there were 20 or so there this morning (I stopped briefly on the ride in this time). It seemed to be run by Jack Grimes, with Brad Miller and Brett Allison looking on, but not taking part (at least for the few minutes I was there).

Yes that is the first release I posted. The second came out immediately after the big ACCA news conference in Feb 2013.

And what does a failure to ask for reparation have to do with anything? I was responding to comments that the aflpa were soft on drug use

Ok they made some early denouncements.

WHAT HAVE THEY DONE ABOUT IT? What actual actions have the AFLPA taken? Its is now years after the events, and other than some lip flap they have done stuff all.

Edit:- By comparison, what happens in any other workplace? What about a building site? The workers would be on strike in a heartbeat , and the site closed.

Thank you for the advice, it is dealing with 12 year olds at interview, with me knowing I know at least twice as much as them, I'll get there

Completely off topic

Used to have 4 earrings, passé

Don't like cars

And spoil my looks

My lovely partner may find this disconcerting

Only drink light beer (and only Cascade or Boags)

Don't weekend and if I did it would be in the mountains

St Kilda, no sorry, Fitzroy or Carlton

12 year olds? You must be getting 2nd round interviews. hate the way they ask your DOB and then say that they don't care about age. Utter BS. They are scared that you will (and do) know more than them, especially if you have been working longer than they have been alive. Apparently I am too experienced and would not stay even if they gave me the job. Good luck with the job search.

Not supposed to ask the age. If asked date of birth I recommend giving day and month. 30th of May.

There is nothing to report, apart from small groups of players training before the official start, if they start next Wednesday, which looks likely, I'll wander down have a look and report back, if I remember my camera, will try and get a picky or two of anybody new, although think Garlett and Lumumba may start the following week

Off topic, WJ liked Four Seasons "Imitation Life Gazette", so not a stretch, but I am afraid I grew up listening to the American West Coast and Soul music records my Merchant Navy sailor Uncle used to bring back from his travels, so guitarist heroes Mike Bloomfield, John Cipolina and Randy California rather than Eric Clapton

Now you're talking! Quicksilver's live Happy Trails album was one of my favourites, I remember seeing Cipolina playing at the Roundhouse in London's Chalk Farm in 1975 as a guest guitarist with the Welsh band called Man... superb show! As as for Mike Bloomfield... the Live Adventures album and the Kooper Sessions live albums were nothing less than stunning. Another great one off band he put out an album with was KGB Band... Al Kooper, Rick Gretch and Mike Bloomfield being the members.

So that's where I met you first, I was friends with Man's original bassist, Ray Williams, and stayed a fan...C'mon and Bananas, may add Deke Leonard and Mickie Jones to favourite guitarists

I'd lie about the year for sure and blame it on administrative error if it ever came up after commencement.

I doubt once you show how awesome you are that they'd care anyway ;-)

I'm sorry but if I was an MFC player and Jack Grimes was telling me what to do, I'd have real trouble taking him seriously. Imagine him motivating Bernie Vince and Daniel Cross. Cringe-worthy.

Interviewers aren't meant to ask lots of things but there's ways around. As it is my Picard-like persona is a bit of a giveaway ( though have never attended wearing StarFleet apparel....though for one job it might have helped..lol )

I saw a bunch of them around 10.30 this morning at the bottom of Anderson St hill as I rode by, and they were looking as though they were about to embark on some Tan action. Interestingly, in light of the delisting news, I thought I saw Tappy there among them.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
