care factor today

have to say, we have not watched one minute of the game , not even listened to it , been to the show and it was packed , never seen so many people there , even driving home , more traffic than I thought we would see.

It seems more and more people are getting bored with the same teams fighting it out , last few years seems its either hawks, geelong , sydney , add in collingwood ( bar this year ) and the care factor is getting less

My work normally closes today but its been open as my staff wanted to and been busy all day

is it just me ? feeling this way ? I have spoken to many customers this week and they still have a BBQ or something to go to but most didn't care who won or even played ?

I'm tired out from hard woprk on a mates farm over the weeks.

put on the telly & have been Channel surfing. would be interested in Swans going well, but now sick of the hawks 8 yrs or so. bored with the AFL's same old same old. Cannot watch the TV which is running in the background.

If I wasn't so tired I'd be out in the garden this afternoon.

Wonder how many years it'll take the AFL to do something, if anything, when we see the Hawks and Swans play off in another 2 or 3 grand finals over the next 5 years. The AFL is just becoming a joke and free agency will destroy the game.

(might be 4 or 5 beers down)

It just hurts. Today really rubs it in for a Dees supporter.

We might not ever get a chance to see a flag.

First time I've thought that in a long long long time.

I am actually a bit deflated today, I haven't had a joint in ten years.

Today, I will admit I am a bit depressed and might roll a number.

Bit Fk'd off with the AFL atm.

We are going places. Just have to stay positive. The difference Roos made to our list in one off season was huge, and he'll do that again. He should improve us by at least 40 - 50% with better players.

Remember, North missed finals last year because they lost 6 or 7 matches by less than 20 points. I think we managed to the same this year. North played in a preliminary the season after. The losses and disappointment need to burn in our players, and they need to react accordingly, which all comes from culture. And our culture will come from Roos who is masterful in all aspects of a footy club.

We might not play a grand final for a long time, but we're heading in the right direction.

The bland final. Funny how since free agency arrived the same clubs have been up

Definitely no coincidence but I feel vindicated that the Swans have lost despite their aggressive use of free agency in their list management. Maybe they're just ahead of the rest of the league. Evolve or die.

I hate the poo wees! Sick of seeing them dominate while other Victorian clubs suffer.

Can't wait for the winds of change to blow through and see them fall while we rise. Can't wait until we belt them and watch the poo wees supporters exit the stands during the 4th.

Care factor less than zero.

Anger factor: through the roof. Competition divided into haves and have-nots. Wonder what Swans or Hawks thought about our asking for a priority pick?

Don't you just love the Hawks supporters who laughed at our priority pick request?

*cough* Jarryd Roughead *cough* 5 goals in the GF *cough* was a priority pick *cough*

While I did watch the game, I also cooked lunch during it and spent a fair bit of time doing other things with the game as background.

Now that Kennett's gone, and Franklin was lost to Free Agency (as well as Young), the arrogance has eased a little at Hawthorn, and I can honestly think this premiership is legit.

Glad it wasn't Sydney. In a fair competition with only one set of rules they wouldn't have been top 4 this year.

The gut feeling of horror is, will Hawthorn ever slide? If they can now keep bringing in quality players through Free Agency, who are willing to take a pay cut to be there (Lake took an estimated $200k a year cut to move to Hawthorn), what could make them slip?

Agreed, it's frightening for clubs like us. We have to look at Port, who rose up the ladder after free agency, and remain hopeful that we can reach success.

I'm not happy that the hawks won so easily. Would have been great if it was a close game or is Swans had won.

You guys are a bunch of wingers. It's the grand final.

I hated that Hawthorn won, but was blown away by how good they were.

They had winners all over the ground. Everyone played there role.

I bet most of you dont turn up to etihad when we play.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
