Struggled to come back from the foot injury which plagued him since mid-2012 and retired early in the year at age 26 after battling depression. Now contemplating a return to the AFL.

He was on our list in 2014 so he's part of the year's narrative, like it or not.

Can't say much about the way he played in 2014 but I'll never forget some of the excitement he brought to the club during our very darkest times in 2012-3. I guess we'll always wonder what might have been had he not gone down awkwardly on his foot in the game against GWS when he already had four goals on the board some minutes before quarter time. I'm sure he would have finished with at least a double figure goal tally. And what if Liam Jurrah had not tempted fate and stayed at home instead a few months before that? We might have had an electrifying forward combination. And what if Aussie's dad had not crashed the car and been killed and Aussie had remained fit and well and continued his career? How many goals would he have crumbed at their feet? And Jesse Hogan ...

I know today's the 13th - it's not a Friday, is it?

Output matched his preseason.

Still highly regarded.

Thats about the best i can be.

Not a good year for Mitch, to say the least. I think we all want him to have another crack at the game, because he is so very good at it. We just want it to be for us; and if it can't be, then at least let us get what we deserve for a player of his quality.

What might have been probably will never be; but let's not let everything go to waste.

Not a good year for Mitch, to say the least. I think we all want him to have another crack at the game, because he is so very good at it. We just want it to be for us; and if it can't be, then at least let us get what we deserve for a player of his quality.

What might have been probably will never be; but let's not let everything go to waste.

By the start of next season it will be about 34 months since he has played a decent game, and 22 months since he has played at all. I just can't see this ending well for anyone.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.     A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
