I'm surprised that anyone could be so gullible to take any notice of this dribble, but I shouldn't be after what I read from so called Melbourne supporters in other threads.

Welcome to Demonland, you'll fit right in

We need guys like Trengove to be leading our recovery, not to trade them off in a fire sale. We should't be too quick to forget his decision to sign on shortly after the 186 debacle in an immense show of faith. Something that is obviously lacking at present. Grimes probably needs to be demoted to VC to let him focus on his own game, but he also need to be kept for the same reasons. As if Roos would trade a Grimes type player after criticising the decision to delist Brad Miller...the rot began when Melbourne starting offloading its respected senior players before their time, surely the same mistake can't be made again?

I thought Roos was about building culture? Jackson has discussed about importance of the feel in the locker room? Losing faith by the second.

Is this a serious post? What sort of culture exists WITH these players?

This is utter, complete bollocks. When there is no leadership and few mature players at the club, what possible benefit could be gained by bringing in five or six new players and trading out the captain and immediate past captain, amogst others.

Complete [censored] stirring and will put us back another 5-10 years.

I agree that It's probably not true, but I don't think it's such a bad idea

a trade might be the best thing for Watts and MFC

Grimes can't kick, can't have your leaders making basic skill errors consistently

Trengove and Toumpas would want to show something in 2015 or I doubt either will be at the club after that

The sad thing is there is no player at the club that we would be devastated to lose ( possible exception of Hogan who hasn't played yet.)

Our best are mediocre and there is no one to make you excited to go to the footy and see. Even Howe doesn't take hangers any more.

We desperately need flare and dash not only for the fans but it lifts the team as well.

Looking at the thread title, I was thinking did we actually get 3 inside 20 m last week.

Then I realized that with a score of 3 goals 16 behinds we must have had at least 19 inside 20s :-(((((((((()((

I'm glad you have nothing to do with our list management.

We are basically bottom of the table for 8th yr straight with players who cant kick, chase, even talk with the worst culture in the league. We need to turn over as much as possible and start from basically scratch.

We need to leave no stone unturned or be reserved and over protective of our players. If we can get like for like swaps we should take em as the player coming in wont be mentally scarred.

It is an absolutely terrible idea.

Grimes is our captain. How do you think trading him would go down in the playing group?

Trengove and Toumpas have absolutely zero trade value and all the upside in the world. And both have made very public commitments to the club (Toumpas this week and Trengove after 186). How do you think trading them would go down?

It is just pure idiocy and clearly, clearly has no basis in fact.

I would be devastated to lose either Gawn or Jones. More than Hogan probably Edited by Moneider96

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
