Jesse Hogan Injury Update?

After the last 4 or 5 years I am in the Worst Case Scenario school these days. I am utterly sick of it but it just keeps happening like some recurring nightmare!

A bit like your Hood Avatar, as soon as the Thunderbirds were clear of this menace, he would reappear in another episode just to remind us of the evil intent in some people.

I know I have got of the track, but I agree with your sentiments, it is like a recurring nightmare.

Why the hell can't we have some luck with injury, recruiting, Deaths etc etc sheeit has any club ever in any professional sport had our type of misfortune??

As soon as Barrett mentioned "concerns with a young Melbourne player" I looked up and just said, seriously what have we done to deserve this!?

Genuine talent that could be important to our future, and he's struggling with stress fractures! I'm seriously getting sick of our crappy luck.

Shouldve taken Wines.

Another quality decision by our then apprentice coach.

Geez that was a howler of a decision and we will pay the price for a long time yet unfortunately.

In the West we are two hours behind so FS not started yet, but I hope Gary took Barrett to task if not he should never let him forget any ridiculous claim that he may never play. FMD you only have to look at Tom Hawkins 2013 to 2014 to see how different a rest for a back injury can make.

But being the staged show it is they will continue to introduce this muck raker as the number 1 story breaker in the business.

Hoges had back issues when he was younger due to (non medical term) issues with growth spurts along the lines of the top half of the body outgrowing the bottom half but he got over them fine. As I have said before he is a 10 year player and this year whilst frustrating requires kid gloves to be used. My understanding from those who have played with him over here and word coming back is the club wants him to get everything 100% right and he is just really frustrated at not being able to get out there. Having done the preseason and the year in the VFL he was busting at the seems to play AFL this year.

Don't worry he will be fine, patience required

As I have said don't get me started but since you have I will say one thing. The decision not to draft a daring, courageous, fleet of foot, in and under in Ollie Wines will possibly go down as the worst recruiting blunder by our club EVER including Diamond Jim Tillbrook!

How did we get here? I am grieving over Hogan isn't that enough to deal with at one time?

Fleet of foot? You ever actually watched him play??

Pennant love your positive thinking. However this injury scenario has me worried for one. Kids who can't get on the park tend to go home. Scott Thompson spoke recently that 4 years of injury at MFC led him to seek a change back home at Adelaide. We can lament also about Jurrah and recently Mitch who went home, although not to play AFL footy. Not looking great in my mind.

Don't agree, Scott Thompson is also on record saying there were some issues between he and Danners.

Jurrah is just from a totally different background and Mitch Clark is beyond injury.

Luke Shuey & Scott Gumbleton are two I can think of off the top of my head who were injury riddled for the first couple of years and have felt indebted to the clubs who looked after them.

Hoges is a unique kid in more ways then one. Once the club keeps on the right track with Roos and recruiting the right players he will stay.

Funny how Barrett initially said "Hogan won't play again" until Lyon stopped him and made him be more specific in saying this year.

Especially after Clark's retirement, what a thing to say.

He loves feeding off other teams and peoples misfortunes.

I know it's his job but he doesn't have to be such a [censored] about it.

Wasn't it Barrett that reported that he'd miss the first 6 weeks of the season and DL went on a Barrett witch hunt?

Just asking.

If you keep guessing, you'll get some right.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
