So morose you two!

There is no escaping the one certainty in life Dr.

I used to think I would live forever but at my current tender age I know that is crap.

Morose? I'm looking forward to the fact that I will no longer have to worry about taxes, bills, politics, or religion... but knowing my luck, there will be an afterlife and I will have all hell to pay for my past sins :)

Who knows, they may even give us a few "sin credits" to make up for the excessive suffering we were put through in this life.

Had not considered "Sin Credits"

I will check with the Reverend and Lordweaver on the possibilities.

Your correct of course but I have to start the negotiation and at least with that lot we support the same team.

I think Dee supporters get a free pass thru the Pearly Gates as they"ve done their time in purgatory!

You may be correct cf however I think I will start negotiating now.

I don't want the final disappointment to be arriving at the PG's to be told

"Ha Ha a demons supporter you have not seen anything yet"

Apologies for bringing some of you face to face with your own mortality but please permit me to return to the topic.

Paul Roos was the keynote speaker and it was a pleasure to hear him speak for the second time in less than a week. I have no doubt that if I were a player I'd be breaking down doors to play in his team and I can understand the disappointment of the injured contingent about not being able to get out there on Saturday night. I didn't take notes but he spoke of the business of football and how the sport had changed dramatically over the years since he started. Nevertheless, he did say that some things don't change, notably the importance to the players of having responsible peers who are prepared to open up and tell their teammates when there's a need for improvement in areas such as behaviour. He pointed to Garry Wilson from his own playing days at Fitzroy, how the Sydney leadership had spoken to Mitch Morton which helped him become a premiership player and how the Geelong leaders had influenced Garry Ablett Jr.

Stirring stuff - good times on the horizon.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
