I would rather MC says to the club he needs the yr off to get things right rather than retire now go home to WA and freo pick him up next season for sfa. (And u know if that happens he will kill it on the field)

D day is either tue or wed as PR has stated.

Roosy said that he thinks there'll be a meeting later in the week.

One of the most clear pressers you'll ever see http://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2014-04-07/roos-on-mitch-clark

Mitch is surely gone.

My take on Roos' body language is that he simply does not know what Clark's movements will be.

I think 95% of the posters here would appreciate it if the usual posters don't clog up yet another thread with dick measuring posts and cheap shots. Get over yourselves.

Hopefully Hutchy and Robbo are both on the money and that Clark is working towards playing for the club again and not the alternative. Some positive news is just what we need.

Works both ways, I hope you realise.

Not just you, but all the other predictors of impending doom.

Of course it works both ways. What doom do I predict in the case of Mitch Clark...someone who's had far more influence off field than on, because he can't get on.

Seems to be a point many are prepared to gloss over. This is after all a football club, whereby the primary objective of any player is to play. That is after all what they are paid to do.

15 games in how long ? Marvelous.

My most fervent hope would be for a full and complete recovery so he can go out and repay the faith and belief of not only the club but its followers.

I get no joy nor satisfaction with him being sidelined. He was a rare breath of fresh air and ability amongst this sorry band of ne're-do-wells.

Do I expect this ? No

would I be wrong.... happily so

Dude, he's on the long term injury list.

Clearly a joke!

Probably is, but not a funny one.

And what's to say Clark can't be brought off the LTI list?

Has to happen at some stage, if he recovers - why can't it be this week?

Get on the line to Francis while you at it then...

such a miracle is somewhat unlikley i'd suggest

He has to miss eight weeks from the moment he is placed on the LTI list. Even if he is ready early.

Its ok...many a folk like to overlook minor detail.

My understanding is 8 rounds, but he was put on the LTI prior to our season commencing, so I'm not sure he'd need to stay out the entire 8 weeks.

Just stop.

You complain about there being no information and then put up post after post with no information.

Give it a rest.

Has to be 8 weeks. Minimum.

Don't know that it's going to be factored in here at all though.

Keep in mind.. Robbo thinks Essendon is hard done by

not a person whos judgement for mine is worthy.

This has zero to do with judgement, though. This is him reporting on what he has supposedly heard from an inside source.

And no-one is "hanging their hat" on it either. God forbid a report he is staying is a cause for some hope.

You're a very desperate poster Stuie.

Hint, go look up words like "context' , 'clarity' , 'relevance' etc

Also go look up Stawman ...

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
