you want a very simple away strip..

heres one.. who would it clash with.. I.e If supposedly our normal one clashes, which team would this not then work with ?

F*%# the white !!!

That's a great compromise! I'd be very happy with that. (Clearly, the AFL would not allow it!!)

Really don't see how they could justify their argument, I have heard all the nonsense of red not being a light colour but the above compromise is a much better change than Essendon & Richmond making their sash bigger

Another certainty of life... any attempt at a clash jumper will receive a violent backlash!

Sorry bubsy, but I'm not a fan of the red & blue version.

In fact, I subscribe to the theory that a clash jumper should consist of predominantly foreign colour, like white.

Look at the away strips in the EPL.

Arsenal wear red & white with black bands at home, but the away strip is a bright yellow & blue.

Both look great.

The colours are of little consequence in my opinion - the key is looking sufficiently different to perform the intended function, and to be aesthetically pleasing.

Trying to have a functional clash strip using only red & blue is simply not possible, and looks like shyte.

hey bub, could you knock up the freemantle way strip with

red for white

navy blue for the 3 purple chevrons

curious as to how it would look

its rough !!

not really a suggestion, just a curiosity

could have the numbers in navy too

would look good with navy shorts i reckon, but they don't seem to allow dark shorts on away strips

i prefer it to the white one

Tbh that freo one makes me want to vomit. Would much prefer just one solid blue v instead of the 3. Literally just push the 3 blue vs together

hey bb how about the red V and blue jumper and the blue V and red jumper that others say would look terrible?

Is that with, or without, red shorts?

you mean our normal jumper juxtaposed ?

I hate white as much as anyone... but I'd be more accepting if it at least had some token 'Heritage' in it. Just adding a simple 'MFC' monogram makes it more appealing I think.

This design sort of steals a bit from the Sandringham Dragons clash jumper. The yoke is more reminiscent of the size used by Melbourne, and rather than the dragon at the bottom, it has the 'MFC' monogram.

Thoughts???

we need to get rid of the blue panels from under the armpits - that's why we clash with the saints so badly

Yeah

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
