Is this CW's worst yet?

Caroline Wilson, first lady of football, specialist in spreading off field rumour and innuendo about clubs such as Melbourne, Essendon, St Kilda and Collingwood has exposed her outrageous blind spot re the Tigers this morning.

Remember how she told us how Dane Swan was in trouble off field and in the pre season?

And how she denied rumours circulating about Dustin Martin which I won't repeat for their defamatory nature?

Today she implicitly confirms all that in her piece lauding Richmond's handling of Martin amid "off field tales of wild summer behaviour".

She tells us "all along the Tigers protected their man".

Well, how come we did not hear about those behaviours of Martin's Caro, since you were all too keen to tell us about Swan's?

And who might it have been who helped the Tigers protect their man?

Her hypocrisy is breathtaking.

She truly is a disgrace. Link below, if it does not work see age website.

The ridiculous thing is she is using her position . Formal journalist to try and influence the contractual decisions relating to key young players at her club.

It may not have an affect on the player in question but it will be a mind worm to readers and the public.

Did she wrote that James Frawley and Colin Sylvia should stick with Melbourne, the club who has supported them and paid them "overs", in a show of faith to help rebuild?

Did she write that Daisy Thomas should resign with Collingwood die to the faith they've shown him during injury?

What is her opinion on another "party boy" Lance Franklin? Should he stay for stability?

This article smacks of using her influence for her own agenda.

There is no doubt the Tiges have protected their man and if he heads to GWS I would worry about him and his ability to keep on track but your point is about Wilson and yes she is clouded by her team allegiance.

Franklin is a really interesting one, will he get an offer from GWS or is he to hot to handle?

Garry, Hutchy. If you're reading this..... It's time to pull her up on this on Footy Classifieds.

Do it for the fans of all clubs!!!

That sadly will not happen. Grant Thomas, his involvement in the racism scandal at Melbourne aside, was a shining light on that show in that he was straightforward, called things as he saw them and pulled Caro up. Lloyd, Lyon and Hutchison would make a good modern version of the Three Stooges. Shemp and Moe have been determined but Lordo (where the hell did that nickname come from?) mightn't have the physical attributes or demeanour to pull off a good Curly.

I'm going to paraphrase the entire article....

Dear Dustin,

Please stay.

Yours sincerely,

It's "Lloyd-o".

Shocking nickname, but the bloke is bereft of personality, so it'd be bloody hard coming up with a decent alternative.

He's more robotic than C3PO. More wooden than the Mahogany ship.

Just a shame he has a tough surname to work with.

I agree. That's why I put it out there.

The only enjoyment I ever got out of the show was when Grant Thomas made CW look and sound like a goose. Completely shut her down 90% of the time.

Her hypocrisy has descended to a new nadir, and her "professionalism" never existed.

It's this kind of crap that gives you a grudging respect for people like Mike Sheahan who sink the boots in - allegiances or ties to clubs be damned - with their 'journalistic duty.'

I heard he was a ticking time bomb as late as March so we will see how far this misguided young man has turned himself around.

The interesting thing rpfc is that on reflection I think Mike was close to the mark.

I now see what he was getting at in certain areas.

It is a strange situation. Martin lived at Gary March's house for i think 2 years, give or take.

One of my old school mates knows Gary very well..they have been close mates for years & he has said often that Gary is a top man.

Now you would think that little Dusty would be Yellow & Black through & through.

Gary is finishing up this year though....

Dusty should stay because of what Richmond has done for him..

but i feel like he could be enticed.

if we offered him a large sum of money, he might be keen?

I wonder !!!

GWS & pick 1 = potentially a very tall Power Forward...

.... is she, are they, playing games?

http://livescores.theage.com.au/afl/ladder.html?refresh=1374653338466

.... Freo also want a tall forward, but would they prefer one who is already in their Mid 20's, who's played over 100 games? to eventually replace the Pav. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Riewoldt

GWS, what do they want? Buddy who is a free agent, & Martin who is up for contract... Martin + the Tigers 1st pick, would likely get the job done to acquire GWS's 2013 NAB Draft Pick 1 (Boyd) plus maybe a player??? & a dead skunk from the middle of the road..

Freo would like JR(ewing) Riewoldt, to supplement the aging Pav. & the tigers no doubt would like Freo's 1st Pick + something in return.

... IMO the wagons are circling in the countdown for the GWS Pick 1... nothing would surprise Re all this.

Blatant barracking by Caro. There should be a disclaimer at the beginning that says "this advertorial is sponsored indirectly by the RFC and written by a massive fan of Martin and the RFC".

And conveniently fails to include a readers comments section at the end where we can point out the ridiculously obvious conflict of interest.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
