i feel like Roos is going to be talking to alot of players come this next few months.

My guess though that instead of speaking to duds like Gillies and Sellar he will be talking to real AFL players.

Dusty Martin in a Melbourne jumper next year?

We are leading the race :)

Should we be wearing the yellow jumper then?

I believe Paul Roos is currently in WA talking with Fremantle's Viv Michie. Victorian boy who has had a few injuries and can't break into their midfield (Barlow, Mundy and Fyfe). Would be a great get if true.

Was that not Paul Roos I saw On The Couch last night at the Exhibition Building in Carlton?

If Roos convinces any two players amongst Sloane, Martin, D.Swallow, S.Selwood, Shuey and or Rockliff to come to the Dees for 2014 I will buy myself the newest and latest Gillette razor, have a clean shave and then walk into the Melbourne FC and sign my partner up as a member (I'm already a member, I converted her a couple years ago, but will have to sign her up at some point).

Ashley Smith of the WCE has been offered to Victorian clubs by his management. Home sick, has his girlfriend located in Melbourne and feels due a freshen up.

do you know which club?

all I know is that he is a very quick half back.

Have heard a whisper that a 3 way deal between us, Tigers and GWS might be in the gun! GWS would get Martin but Richmond not happy with pick offered. We come in with Pick 2 and we get Taylor Adams and a lower pick. Other picks swapped between all parties! Hmmm....

Is Taylor Adams worth this?

I don't know much about him tbh.

He's not worth pick 2 , GWS would have to offer more, I think Roos and co are astute enough to make sure we get what is best for the club. As a side, I heard Terry Wallace talk up a guy Lambert from the VFL anyone know about him

He's captain of the Northern Blues, i think he's alright but personally i have watched him play a few times and he reminds me a little bit of a few boys on our list, he would dominate at VFL level but struggle at AFL level, would be surprised if we draft him,

if GWS gave us Adams and pick 10 i'd be pretty happy.

Useless player to us IMO. We need mids, not more flankers!

I hope your right... I'd love for us to turn our Pick2 into two top-end tough players. Adams already has a couple of season under the AFL belt. & I'd love to get young Crouch from the draft with another pick?

If we were to trade pick 2, then being in a position to pick up Crouch would work for me.

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
