Great young player but I think that ideally if he is getting a game in your backline it says a lot about the state of your squad.

Certainly room for improvement and easily top 10 in B&F at this stage. He's a bit rough around the edges like Godfrey was but the difference is that with Terlich you can see where the improvement is going to come from.

Could be the next in a long line of superb VFL, not-up-to-scratch AFL players we have had.

This kid is on the lower end of the huge list of problems currently facing the club.

The rare time where we look dangerous going forward is usually off the back of Terlich or Garland taking the game on. His disposal is generally good, but he can sometimes run himself into trouble and as a consequence turn the ball over. I don't mind that, and he'll quickly learn when its appropriate to attack and when to hold up the play a bit more. His disposal by foot is generally good, although his handpasses can bring him under fire. However, in the back half when the opposition put on the pressure all our players are guilty of this. I suspect that with a bit more midfield support and less of a bombardment of inside 50's, his decision making will improve and he'll be looking like a more polished player. Hopefully it won't be too long before we're all laughing at how we stole this guy at pick 68. A shining light in what is an otherwise bleak season.

I think he often tries to draw an opposition player or two so that he can give off to a free player but he simply has no options ahead of him.

He would have to be leading our "1-2" count at the club. Sure, he handballs to what appears to be a stationary target, but it is generally becasue he is running his guts out to get the handball back.

DL4E - you reckon he has the worst disposal in our team? Bit over the top don't you think? How about starting with our co-captain (#31), if you think he is better than Terls, then look at Bail, Tom Mc, Nicholson. Once you've watched footage of those blokes, if you still believe Terlich is the worst, let me know and I will list others.

Terlich actually reminds me somewhat of Nathan Jones in his first couple of seasons. Slightly different roles, but the foundations are very similar for mine.

I see this in Melb plays more than any other side a lack options to go to. Players dont seem to be focused on the ball and other players more self location and self preservation. More concerned with their space rather than their opponent and where the ball is.

Maybe losing their instincts for patterns and systems

Dean Terlich is one of the few players who, when he see's a player in trouble or under pressure, runs as fast a possible to help out.....also why he has some turnovers because he is always in the most pressured situations. Dean also is one of the quickest thinkers in the team under pressure. The main point is the he is hunts the ball, and wants the ball....so few in the team do this, hence why we get smashed in the possesions each week.

Genuine 150 + player.

DON"T FORGET.......when we were at our worst, and at the very bottom, DEAN TERLICH stood up as was one of our best. We are still at our bottom, but when the day comes and we work our way up the ladder, this bloke started it.

He has the ATTITUDE.

For his first season i love the way he takes the game on.

he attacks the ball and gets it, his skill will improve over time.

Looks like he has a great relationship with Frawley on the field, they look for each other a lot.

He teaches Taggert, Jetta, Strauss, Tapscott, Bale, Blease and whoever else how to go and get the footy, he just keeps at it and also demands it and takes the game on. So many of our players seem scared of the ball, maybe its the old game plan but this guy just backs himself in.

He really looks like a Swans half bank flanker to me.

Perhaps that one year he spent there as a rookie has never really left him.

I see Terlich poor disposal was once again not reflected in his 83% disposal efficiency.

This kid will be a heart and soul player for the 200 games he plays for us

This guy is an out-and-out good footballer. His disposal is not that bad, and he constantly competes and gives lots of run. Underrated.

Getting that much ball at 83% efficiency is an amazing result. Great recruiting. Remind me very much of Martin Pike - 4 flags for him would be good!

What a man our Deano T is. He has all the tricks a defender needs, but has a heap of humility and hits the contest hard.

Five of those eight are clearly best 22 players. Two of the others are there now and look like staying there and the last one is showing more and more each week at Casey and was always a project. It's been a good haul. If you're going to have a crap year it's nice to at least have something to look forward to. I'm not sure how much Neeld had to do with these selections but it could be his lasting and most positive legacy.

I picked Terlich in my starting 18 at the start of the season based on the draft summary and was vindicated. I sense that Matt Jones and Kent will similarly produce the goods!
