Has Roos vacated the Sydney Academy position already or does that happen at the end of the home and away season?

He was coaching them at training on Thursday night

I'd say it's Choco,

Craig would be announced right away if it's him, what's the point in waiting and holding out?

Eade is out

Roos said no

Williams can't be announced until Richmond finish finals.

Williams or the slight chance Roos changes his mind.

can't see us choosing any untried coaches.

You get the feeling we may have told him he wouldn't get the gig and the Lions did likewise.

That's not the feeling I get.

He's had two stints at coaching dating back nearly 20 years and is now at a great club with a plum role. At his age it makes sense. I just reckon he's thought things through and decided he's had his run and has now got a great gig.

I think if we had of gone to him and said 'Rocket' we want you then he would be on board but he doesn't want to put himself out there now. As you say he has a plum job on good money.

Depends how you define untried. Leigh Tudor is not lacking in experience at AFL level.

Up to the coaching panel. Wouldn't be ruling out anyone myself, including Worsfold - or Craig.

It's not going to turn around in a season or two though, no matter who we pick.

Didn't Eade say he had a 10 minute informal chat with the club?

If that's the case then neither side is serious.

Josh Mahoney said at a function that under the new rules they are not allowed to announce a new coach until the day after the grand final if that person is currently employed at another club.

so craig could be announced now.. however Roos and Choco we would have to wait.

Roo'''''''''s doesn't work for another club does he? So there would be no reason to wait.

So if correct that tells me it's either Chocco or Craigy Boy.

I've had a short informal chat with the club as well... & I've had longer chats to.

& for what its worth, I wouldn't bother him.

Warwick Capper, with Mark Jackson as assistant coach. It's the only way forward for mine.

Id be thinking come 9.00 am Monday there be no impediment to announce the new coach.

I heard them on the wireless last week with Mark Fine....Jacko is still sharp as.

Warwick was never smart, but could take grabs!!!

If this happens I will poke out my eyes and cut off my tongue as that would be less painful!

So all we are now lacking is a midfield coach and one for the backs. Any thoughts WYL?

What posie did Ricky Nixon play?

Leigh Tudors name just keep popping up.

yeah, and he would be an assistant for us

Not a chance he will be our new coach unless Peter Jackson and Glen Bartlett are both liars

Seems all a bit sus to me.

After watching Rocket on afl360 he was keen as mustard to get a senior coaching role. Now he is pulling out. Something does not add up.

We wouldn't have told him we have someone cause he probably would keep quiet about it so there is something going on.

Maybe we have the coach lined up and said to him he has not made the cut and given him the opportunity to pull out to save face.

No one bloody knows we are all guessing. This is where I wish I was related to PJ

Bugger.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
